Stats are just so meaningless compared to opinions. Well said Richard. :)

Very good move for them. If they pick up Barkley a 1 and get themselves a good QB then they could easily win 8 games next year.

Give the Rams a lock-down secondary under Wade Phillips and woof...that’s a good team there. Already 5th odds-on for the Super Bowl before these acquisitions.

Even better for the Browns as they have both the 33rd and 35th picks which are more or less still in 1st round calibre. If they can hang on to both and draft well there, then that would be massive for them.

Richard Sherman for Dez Bryant ? Wow.

I would be happy just with Dez going .Cowboys don't tend to do much beyond the draft but Im hoping we make some sort of trade up for a higher pick and hopefully Calvin Ridley

I hope to god it's not the 49ers. Rams makes no sense considering them getting Peters, Talib and Sam Shields. Could definitely see the Raiders though, them and the Patriots are the most likely in my opinion.

Sorry I meant the Chargers not the Rams. He grew up nearby and may be interested in playing at home.

Yeah, he'll go somewhere where he'll be utilized to his fullest extent and put up 80/1100/10 again, for a season or two.

Or he'll get injured at some point, or fail to mesh into another system. Personally, I'd like to see him go play with Brady for a couple seasons.

The Pats is just the place to get him back into form. That'd be scary if it came about.

Browns have traded for Tyrod Taylor.

Guess they’re not drafting a QB as #1 pick

If they also sign say McCarron/another QB that would get very interesting on the draft possibilities.

Taylor gives them a stop-gap/project for the inevitable draft pick to develop is my guess, unless they give him a big contract soon. He's certainly not a guy I'd pin my hopes on long-term (or short-term). But it's the Browns...

Why would they get him? He is no where near good enough when you are trying to build a team.

He's good enough to lead a team from 0-16 to 8-8 or so and would be a great compliment to the Browns getting one of Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, or Rosen at #4 . This would also more or less guarantee they are going to select Barkley at #1.

Yeah. I must be missing something.

Odell is getting paid next season.

It makes perfect sense when you think about it. Taylor has experience and led a pretty mediocre team to the playoffs last year. That helps the Browns spread the risk in case they go for a top QB at the #4 pick who doesn't immediately settle in. That will allow them to bring whoever they draft along with minimal pressure where at the same time Taylor can win games in the interim period. If they get Barkley at #1 and then utilize their 33 and 35 picks wisely, then they will be in good shape.

Browns will take Darnold surely
There is no sure thing regarding QB’s in this draft.

I actually think the 4th & 5th QBs taken this draft will outperform the first three in the NFL in the end. And by that I mean, Baker and Lamar being drafted after Rosen, Allen, and Darnold. I’m going with that order as well.

That’s my expert opinion, me being some random guy on the internet with evaluation of stuff highly paid people still can’t figure out so it should be taken seriously...

Huge moves yesterday.

Wish we’d got Bennett. Our pass rush really did need him! Hopefully we get Sherman.

Rams and Browns have made some really interesting moves.

Hope so - would be our best corner partnership since Browner & Revis. But I don't think it'll happen.

We need additional support at CB - Rowe is rubbish (as SB proved) & Malcolm's not coming back.

There’s no value in taking RB though. If you need a QB, that should be your first priority.

Not when there are 6 viable first round QBs and one RB. So unless they trade for a RB before next month it’s likely they will take Barkley and a QB in the first four picks.

But if Darnold is the best QB (and their guy), they shouldn’t risk missing him.

He isn't the best QB. There isn't much in it between the top 4 QBs on the board. Unless the Browns specifically want one of them over the others and are prepared to blow the #1 on him, it wouldn't make sense.

They need Barkley first if they don't take him first pick they will miss him there's no doubt on that .

Then their fourth pick they will have their quarterback I don't get your problem with this . The only way they will get both is to take the RB first

My problem is that taking the QB they favour is multiple times more important than getting a RB.

Like I said, there isn't much between the top 4 QBs this year. Its not like one of them is this year's Cam Newton and the others are this year's Jake Locker and Christian Ponder. All four of them are very good this year so Cleveland can have its choice of at least 3 of the 4 at the number four selection. Barkley's stock is now increasingly soaring after his combine performance and there are more mock drafts that have him going at #1. Cleveland need a good running back to complement their 2 QBs they are getting since they haven't had a 1,000 yard rusher in years, so if they want to get this year's best RB then they will have to do it at #1. Otherwise they would have to wait until their 33 and 35 picks to have a look at the likes of Penny, Michel, Chubb, or Guice.

Cleveland would be foolish to spend a top pick on a running back. Look at the running backs in the league right now who were drafted outside the first round:

Leveon Bell (2nd)
David Johnson (3rd)
Alvin Kamara (3rd)
Kareem Hunt (3rd)
Dion Lewis (5th)
Jordan Howard (5th)
Devonta Freeman (4th)
Derrick Henry (2nd)
Jay Ajayi (5th)
Dalvin Cook (2nd)
CJ Anderson (undrafted)
Ty Montgomery (3rd)

I'd trade down if I were the Browns, pick a QB at 4, then a trench player with whatever other first they get.

They should go for Nelson and Fitzpatrick in the first round and the best RB in the second round.

Edit: And trade one of their guard for a top D-Lineman.
