I love how Fellaini still gets blamed for everything despite not even being named to the bench. The negative effect he has on the players who are actually playing is amazing. Is he hypnotizing them to play badly with his afro, perhaps?

I’m basing my opinion on the season as a whole and yes Fellaini has been equally as shit as Valencia who has played every game this season. The truth is whether Jose is here or not, whoever’s managing this club next season still need a clear out of 4-6 players. If we sell Valenica and Fellaini and only sign a established RB and a decent CM it would be an improvement in the areas which we are lacking. It’s not about scapegoating individual players it’s having the same conversation as we were having last season. Deadwood starting for us.

Lou Macari has just mentioned a point that I said earlier that they shouldn't be jaded after a rest. My view on the days off and them going off to Rome and Madrid etc is that they lose focus and have come back thinking they can just stroll through the game, which is what Pogba tried to do. They do sod all training this time of year, I would have been hammering into them about finishing strongly.

I actually don't think it was that bad.
We weren't great, and we struggled to create chances, but the effort was there. I think we were probably a bit surprised at how well West Brom played. I think Lindelof, Smalling and De Gea were very good. Young and Valencia were poor but that's nothing new.
I was disappointed by Mata, Sanchez and Lingard; they're better than they showed today.
Happy to see Martial and Rashford get vital minutes, unfortunate that Martial couldn't put that chance away.
All in all its a poor way to end the title race, but let's be realistic we weren't in it anyway.
I still think we've made big strides this season and will continue to in the next season, hopefully we wrap up top 4 soon and get a big win on the weekend.

unsurprisingly terrible.

Normal service resumed and all that.
I wish we had a manager that liked his job and liked soccer .

Well I'm officially on the Mourinho gone brigade. I can handle playing like shit if we were consistently winning games but losing to WBA at home with a terrible lineup, miserable substitutions, and complete lack of identity has me done.

Hope people stop showing up to home games as this rate.

I can get my head around the fact it was a weird situation today, any time a Manager says(usually lies) that he'll be on the Golf-course, and it was always going to be either 5-0, or 0-1 today, but that was totally fcuking garbage/embarrasing, if that is us making progress under Mourinho, well......

I'm not Pogba's biggest fan, but Mourinho handed the game to WBA when he took him off today, why the fcuk he(Mourinho)needs to be in conflict with his players, and the list is endless is beyond me.

ps. Congratz to Man City, well deserved

I'm just genuinely not surprised by the performance, and thats the problem here. If you expected us to blow West Brom away, bless you, because I've had no reason to have that sort of optimism, even after last week.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen OT empty like that. It was also dead. No ‘ATTACK, ATTACK,ATTACK!!’ Chants, just people playing on their phones and walking out the door.

Like the performance, I'm apathetic.

It is the lack of chances created that hurts the most. We barely created anything of note. If this were Spurs or Liverpool or City, they would be three nil up at halftime.
Yes Hugh it's that exactly that hurts the most, how utter CRAP we are , there can be no counter argument there

As bad as anything from the moyes/van gaal eras. Every player bar de gea was dreadful. Ashley young worst of the lot for me, if he completed one forward pass id be suprised.

Starting to think we should just promote academy lads in future, because world class players turn to shite as soon as they sign for us.

I can take a draw and even a defeat at home, it happens. We can lose and still create five clear chances, hit the post and play really well. Today we lost because of lack of fight and interest, which is inexcusable.

Pogba was awful, he was strolling around the pitch and looked like he was begging to be taken off. Him getting off the pitch wasn't any loss at all. He wasn't at the races once again.

Really bad performance. Far too slow in the first half, it clearly looked like the players underestimated the opponent. In the second half they tried to shift up a few gears, but obviously they couldn´t do. Of course you were a little bit unlucky, too, but that cannot be an excuse against such a poor team. Only Smalling and De Gea did at least ok, the rest was really poor. I expect a big reaction against Bournemouth.

The line-up is also to blame, there was no need in this match for playing Herrera as a second holding midfielder who didn´t play bad at all, but basically wasted one attacking position. At least this game proved that 4-3-3 is not the solution for everything as many people suggested.

This was so pathetic that it seemed almost willful by Mourinho. We had nothing to play for, aside from pride, so maybe he wanted to show that a lot of our players are just not good enough. I have never been a fan of Mata, he is an opportunist who specializes in side and back passes. Rashford has turned into an incredibly selfish player. Lingard is not skillful and should not be a starter, he maybe be useful coming off the bench and scoring a goal out of nowhere but is not capable of short neat passing.
Valencia is supposed to be an attacking wing back but he contributes very little. Not a great defender and not a great winger.
None of these players could play for the top teams in Europe, so with our money why are they playing for us?
If they remain and Martial leaves I will totally give up on Mourinho.

:wenger: Christ on a bike !!

It’s Sunday. It’s pouring with rain. I’m back at work tomorrow after a week off and that game is a metaphor for my mood. That was excruciating.

How we can follow up something like last week with such an insipid performance is beyond me.

To call it a performance is being generous.

Just sick to death of it. The players show very little in desire, but Jose is regularly getting it wrong.

The players picked and the formations. Why line up with three central midfielders and Mata? Zero pace.

End of the day, Jose has to carry the can. He sends the players out there with instructions and they simply are not working. I'd happily see him go as things stand, but with us being second in the league, that won't happen.

I really thought the first player that should have been off was Mata. It seemed to me many of our attacks broke down when the ball went to him. So I was sure it would be Martial for Mata.

Then taking Pogba off was really weird.

Congratulations to City.

We were never scoring. Probably would've missed the penalty if it was given.

5% of people voted Martial Man of the Match
What a joke, he was shite, he needs to pull his head out of his fecking arse, people on here pissing and moaning about him wanting to leave and not getting his chances and it’s all down to Mourinho? This game shows why he needs to have a long hard look at himself.

Subbing a player doesn't mean they're in a conflict.

Nobody wants to blame the ref but we should definitely have had a penalty. The worst part about it was that Rodriguez? got clattered about twenty seconds later close to our box. It was another clear foul and the ref never gave it.

I hate when refs do that. They know they were wrong to not give a decision then decide to make another incorrect decision to make up for it.
