Real Madrid v Liverpool | Champions League Final (May 26th, 2018)

You guys in the Anti Liverpool Thought Police should go onto the Sergio Ramos thread to see the absolute wankfest going on there. Just shameful.

Don't know why people are blasting Ramos for the injury. Yes he has a history of dirty fouls but that was a regular physical challenge you'd expect from at defender.

Also, Carvajal now looks llike he's out of thw WC. Damn, hate seeing professional footballers cry over injuries out of their control.

The longer it stays 0-0 the more likely it is Real will win. Liverpool always tire due to their high pressing style, which is why they concede so many late goals.

Real growing into the game. Second half better be a walloping.

Yep, the game is going as expected. Liverpool really needed to strike early, and possibly twice, as 1-0 mightn't have been enough when they tire like they always do. If it remains 0-0 with twenty to go, I'd strongly fancy Madrid. If Liverpool are already behind by that stage, it's curtains for them.

Wasn't even a dirty challenge or some dark arts genius from Ramos, literally pulled the guy back, they fell and Salah put his arm underhimself the wrong way.

Something I find strange is footballers literally don't know how to fall. Rugby players goes down like that, there is no way he puts his arm out like that. Something footballers should learn really, never put your weight on your arms. Gotta learn to fall correctly where possible.

Game had a good flow to it until the salah injury.

Bale is extremely unlucky not to be starting this game - he should come on for isco. Benzema looked lively the last 10 mins of the half

It is utter madness to think Ramos did that on purpose.. He isn't fecking George St Pierre, the guy can't do a mid air arm bar and ruin Salah, it didn't happen

Disclaimer: I don't watch MMA I may have picked an inappropriate fighter

Thank god we didn't get Ramos a few years back. The biggest piece of shit in football. He knew what's gonna happen, there is no reason whatsoever to keep holding his hand while falling.

Liverpool were the better team until Salah went off injured. Real slowly growing into this game, I think they can punish Liverpool late on.
Liverpool haven’t got a plan B. Half time helped them though, they needed it. Real starting to get going.

Not everyone has goldfish memories.

The refereeing at Stamford Bridge is a small footnote when you describe Guardiola's Barca. It only turns up in detailed debates.
Same way, people will remember the Ronaldo+Modric+Ramos Madrid team that won 3-in-a-row/4 in 5, not that Ramos in one of the finals injured Salah. (All assuming Real win)

Rodgers famous speech was “do it for Lucas”
Now it’ll be the same for Salah

Re: The crying - surely missing both the WC and a CL final is pretty much as bad as it gets as a football player. People spite footballers who treat football as just another job and yet when they actually give a shit you mock them for crying?

It’s a discussion for a thread on its own, but reading how much people talk about footballers wages, and deride them for showing emotion on the field, criticizing near enough on everything they do on social media etc it’s hard not to feel that a lot of people are just very jealous of footballers and that jealousy presents itself as bitterness against them.

He's one of the greatest players of all time, and you're glad you didn't get him?

He just killed my enjoyment of the game, but damn, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's a pure winner.

When I see Salah and Carvahal crying like babies, I can't help but think of Roy Keane. After picking up a yellow card that would exclude him from playing in the final against Bayern, rather than burst in to tears he rolled his sleeves up and put in one of the best performances of his career.

Man up.

Amazing to see how instantly this Liverpool team looks less of a machine and more ordinary without Salah.

Take away any one of that front 3 and it has a huge impact on their game.
Not really they never played against a team like Real and if Bayern was in the final they probably would be winning-for me the best team on this CL

Yeah just a terribly unlucky landing. The shoulder opposite the one at Ramos hits the ground at some speed.

Wtf? The ignorance of this post. You do know hes crying because he knows he might not go to the biggest tournament of his career, that too in peak form?

How you can compare getting a yellow card, something you've received for a foul of your own, to missing a fecking WC.

And people in the morally correct and in anyway supporting Liverpool tonight camp should just get off caf.
