International Friendlies May/June

As much as I try, I struggle to support England. Captained by king bellend Harry Kane.

This is just so much better than the shit our previous managers served up, especially Hodgson.

You can see the system Southgate wants to install and there's a general purpose to our play. Credit to him, especially noting the comparatively weak cards he's dealt.

They are playing Nigeria at home. They'd have to be monumentally shit to not be dominant here.

I didn't want Southgate as manager, and I still don't rate him but you can at least see he has an idea and a plan of how he wants us to play.

In comparison Hodgson was just fecking winging it, it felt like. Especially by Euro 2016.

Sterling is skinning that defence for fun. I'd bring on Rashford in the second half, play him through the middle. I reckon he'll cause havoc

This Nigeria side is hideous technically.

Up there with some of the best in the world imo. He just doesn't have the consistent final product.
Yeah came here to post this, he gets into good positions with his movement but his final ball/shoot is very average.

Young has been slow on the ball imo, not looking great.

England are playing well. Just need to improve our cutting edge and we could trouble Belgium. Should easily win the first two games if we play like this.

That's not what I'm saying. We were dominant under Capello and Hodgson against weaker sides than Nigeria (who aren't terrible).

Diffierence is you know what we're trying to do under Southgate and each player seems to have a good understanding of each other. The system he's put in is modernised and improved the flexibility when we attack.

Have you watched England over the last few years?

England have struggled against such sides a lot.

Don't see the need for excessive negativity.

Main problem was no creativity to unlock teams that park the bus. Lingard and Sterling seem to be helping with that.
