International Friendlies May/June

Spain could form 2 equally good teams which would be contenders with the talent at their disposal. It’s almost unfair to others in terms of how comfortable all their players are on the ball etc., I would say only Brazil compares this year and for me those two are main favourites.
 
Interesting to see Azpilicueta playing as a centre half in a back 4. Not really the same for Spain as it would be for Chelsea though I guess.
 
The way Spain move the ball is mesmerising. Every pass, every control, every turn is almost perfect
 
DDG is fecking shambles for Spain.
 
Thank Christ he doesn’t do that for us, we’d be relegated.
 
I just looked at France squad. Fkign hilarious, they could make 3 WC Teams.

France has the best squad and talent for me
 
Some of this football from Spain, oooft. The movement and constant pressure. And whatever the hell that was that Vasquez just did to put that ball through to Rodrigo, wow.
 
Didn’t know Vazquez had that in his locker. Ronaldinho-esque!
 
Why De Gea seems to have zero presence when he plays for Spain ? He looks far more confident while playing with us. His performance on the international level is the only thing separating him from Neur at the moment.

Paolo Guerrero is the player to look out for in the world cup. I wish there was thread for players to watch out for, I am sure there is.

He is a tournament and big game player - not the guy for every day around. Gerd Müller was his mentor and coach and gave him a bar of chocolate for every goal he made for Bayern's U23. Would be funny if after Thomas another guy he helped would get the golden boot even if he probably would not recognise it anymore.

Brazil is scary this year. There is a ton of talent in midfield and up front. Just trying to figure out what their best XI might be. My guess is:

And that still leaves Ederson, Paulinho, Fred, Jesus and Costa (and a couple others) on the bench. Depth...

There is indeed a Marquinho, an AM from Fluminense, played for Roma back then. I know you mean Marquinhos btw. ;)
And Casemiro, strange we always got mixed about Brazilian name. :lol:
