Day 15: Japan vs Poland, Senegal vs Colombia, England vs Belgium, Panama vs Tunisia

Sanchez has been very solid. He looks a great purchase by Spurs. And his centre back partner for Colombia isn't bad either.

The other CB is Yerry Mina, who is at Barcelona. They are both extremely young so mistakes are here and there, but also are both fecking massive talents.

Wasn't it just the one incident?

It wasn't just the murder of Escobar. They were being threatened throughout that '94 tournament, their families back home etc. And the one who got a red card the other day got death threats.

Nope. Quite clearly hits mane's leg before the ball. But that's irrelevant. The ball stays right there, Mane would still be in possession if he doesn't take him out. Touching the ball doesn't automatically make it a good tackle
You must be on a WUM

There is nothing I can say. I pray the Lord your sight and your sense returns  Mané didn't even protest it, he knew it was a flawless tackle

Yeah, I know. They look like a tasty partnership for the next decade. If he doesn't get the games required at Barca it might be worth you lot going for him.

Mate it was not. The ball stays right there. For it to be a good tackle, he needs to disposses Mane, and he doesn't

It's interesting to watch this match - a huge part of the reason I believe that Pochettino went out last summer and spent a club record amount on Sanchez despite already having the 2 Belgian anchors is because very quick forward lines (Liverpool and Monaco in particular) had shredded Spurs the previous year. Sanchez made a huge impact against pacey attacks and Spurs results against those types of teams improved dramatically.

Funny watching him face Mane in this game again, a player at the club level he was basically purpose bought to shut down.

If Muriel was a half decent attacker, Sevilla would have destroyed us properly in the CL
I was his biggest fan for 5-6 month but even I had to give up at some point. He has everything to be a good player, but still manages to be entirely pointless. He is an expert at messing everything up when it matters.
