Day 15: Japan vs Poland, Senegal vs Colombia, England vs Belgium, Panama vs Tunisia

I was his biggest fan for 5-6 month but even I had to give up at some point. He has everything to be a good player, but still manages to be entirely pointless. He is an expert at messing everything up when it matters.
Couple of world class flick ins in this game already. He means business today.

Colombia are conceding too many chances? What is Murphy on about? They’ve been poor but Senegal have created next to nothing.

Edit: He just explained himself.

Two teams half-hoping Poland will do them a favour, it seems.

Mate it was not. The ball stays right there. For it to be a good tackle, he needs to disposses Mane, and he doesn't
It's not as if Mane is able to just stroke the ball into the net. Mane loses control of the ball when Sanchez puts in his tackle. After there's a bit of follow through from Sanchez on Mane, but the ball's gone and it's clean as you can hope for in that situation.

On this showing by Colombia and Senegal I would fancy Englands chances against either of them

Well... That wasn't exactly the fireworks we were hoping for from Colombia and Senegal... Shame that James wasn't fit.

Senegal are getting what they want so far, but they should try to secure to avoid another 90 minute goal, they're a lot in this tournament.

Just what exactly is the strategy of Colombia here? I mean first they try to pass out of the back, placing the CDM's between/aside the CB's. Then somebody gets a bit of space but everyony else (attacking 4 plus FB's) is basically running forward creating a distance of at least 20 yards to the ball so that theya pass is easier to intercept and harder to control. Doesn't help that even if they succeed, the next guy is often another 20 yards away creating the same dilemma. How often was Cuadrado able to forward the ball after getting it from the defense? Zero.

Senegal jave wasted a few opportunities to hurt colombia, just needed some composure n quality in the final third. Colombia have created nothing and both back lines have been quite impressive so far. If it stays 0-0 by the last quarter of both games though I think colombia might Nick it Just because Senegal might go deep n defensive.

We may have been fooled by Colombia's performance against a Poland in meltdown.

That Falcao sandwich is so funny. They took him out completely.

Well that was a load of old bollox. I didn't watch France vs Denmark but this has to be about as bad, surely?
No. That game was worse. This will have to get better as Colombia will get desperate because no one went for it in that one.
Drogba , said he would ask for 2 yellow cards if he was Falcao when they sandwiched him

Colombia didn't have a touch in Senegal's box says Lineker.

Still I'd rather not have Colombia in the next round as Falcao and the rest can really play well.

Senegal did ok, but Colombia made it easy for them to just sit tight and attack the vast spaces Colombia left with their idiot tactics. Should have converted one of the counters already.

Both of them are shite, we really should get 2nd in the group and have it easy until the semi.

Playing billy big bollocks just to win the group and get knocked out early is stupid.

I think this is the best African team in the past 10 years or so. Koulibaly, Keita Balde, Sané means 1 near world class player per position.

Also its refreshing to see a black African coach, not those European coaches who just seem like they have no chemistry with players.

Quality in this group is poor. There are better teams leaving the tournament early from other groups that would have strolled through this.

Tunisia vs Panama could well become a cracker compared to this.
