Yeah he had 2 great games against Switzerland and Croatia. And he was class. Mbappe is motm in the knockout stage against Argentina. That's a huge difference. Mbappe has more goals at the same stage in the league, in the champions league, and this tournament isnt over for him to get more international goals then rooney had at the same age (even though you cant discount that Mbappe has played on the wing). But also discounting international performances and looking at club games, mbappe has done more at club level and more consistently then Rooney did. I'll always love Rooney, but Mbappe right now is just better then Rooney was.

It's different doing it in the group stage then knockout stage (a game they lost anyway). Also okay, discount what he did in the French league. You can't ignore what he did in the Champions League for Monaco. All the records he set for knockout stage goals at 18. The kid is incredible and is a world class player now.

Also for the 1st goal, having a left foot and using it to go on that side and shooting with it. Both martial and Rashford are very right footed and always cut in on it.

Was perfectly fine there today and has been for PSG. Actually, it allows him to make runs from outside to in like we saw today.
It also allows him to run with the ball, rather than play with his back to goal.
Even when he played in a two with Falcao for Monaco, he would often drift into left channel, where he produced his best work.

Being a sprinter is impressive, but ultimately he will be judged on his goals. If he's considered a top 5 in the world attacker then his goals will mirror his hype.
