Sweden is useless upfront and England don't create many chances and even when they do, Sterling fecks them up.

To be fair, against us his finishing was exactly like this.
England have played this pretty much perfectly so far. They have zero creativity but we knew that anyway - still could be two up. They deserve the lead at ht.

Sweden playing two up top is playing into our hands. They're trying to press but our wingbacks are finding space. We are targeting Granqvist with the direct ball over the top. Sweden press, the ball finds it's way to Tripper and we use Sterling's pace to expose the CB. Lindelof simply isn't quick enough to cover Granqvist. Bring on Rashford for Sterling and it's game over.

Sterling has some seriously woeful decision making for some in a forward position. It's like everyone else is 2 secs ahead of him.
Also - Young s passing has been pretty atrocious thus far - but got a bit better toward the end of the half.

Why the deck didn't he pass to Kane
I like Sterling, hes gettting into good positions. Hopefully he burries one and gets rid of the nervousness in front of goal.

They're both average teams but Sweden are the worst of the two. They are painfully slow. I think England losing this is impossible.
It’s the rule though. You’re not offside until you play it or if you interfere play I believe. Other players that aren’t offside can run into the ball, hence why it’s only called if the offside player touches it.

Sterling did well to give the Swedish backline problems but his lack of finishing makes the blood rush to my head. Just awful.

Why bringing Coutinho in this? He was worth big money, maybe not that big, but he is class

I have absolutely no issue with Liverpool getting buckets of cash for their players when Klopp is only spending it on areas you don’t even need strengthening and completely disregarding your huge weaknesses. Carry on.

Sweden's gameplan went out the window when England scored. Sweden (like Norway) are in trouble when they have to take the game to the opponent and create something.
