I don't understand how we can be accused of having an easy route. It's not our fault the bigger countries have been too shite to make it to this stage. You can only beat what's in front of you and that's exactly what we're doing.

No one is accusing England of anything. But surely something unlikely happening in your favour that is outside of your influence is the definition of luck. I think it's totally fair to label England's draw as lucky. Not that any England supporter should care.

That Swedish female fan looked like she needed cheering up, I'll bite the bullet

The criticism of him here baffles me.

It's almost like it's the default position for some.
He plays for Liverpool so he should be criticized by default.

Saying that, he has been decent. He is the only pure midfielder in England's lineup and it must not be easy to essentially carry the entire midfield by himself.

People complaining about England facing a shite Sweden team like it's England fault . If Germany didn't feck up, it's going to be England Germany in QF

Massive match by Pickford, another unexpected exhibition by a GK. Every GK has been De Gea in the WC, everyone but De Gea. It's funny when Pepe Reina tweeted yesterday trying to save De Gea that his miserable performance was WC ball's fault. When it's the same ball for everyone. Lol.

To be honest, at this point I can see any of England, France, Belgium or Croatia winning it. They all are pretty similar to my eyes. And that's a lot to say. This WC has showed something obvious: physicality in football is still important, and passing for passing's sake with no purpose is a misery.

Pickford suddenly a hard man. Pipe down.

And likely Spain in the next round. So, it isn't an easy route at all, there is nothing lucky on facing teams which have eliminated top teams.

Volunteering to cheer up the Swedish girls after the match tbh.

i fecking hate Pickford

Guy has had a great tournament despite all the doubts beforehand and he still gets slated.

BTW anyone out there who still thinks Southgate did wrong by throwing the Belgium game? England would be out of the tournament by now.

Clever approach from England. Doing just enough to win, but leaving enough crappiness in there to make future opponents underestimate them.
