Let's all Laugh at England

Jeez some in here taking it to heart

When all the gloating was going on, that was ok, now they can’t take the stick. It’s the snowflake generation, I’m telling you.

Far too serious. Didn't see this in the Spain/Argentina/whoever threads.

England is going for the easier bracket again.
They're going to play against Belgium instead of France in the next round ;)

I have to say, I find it very strange that people support a team in a country that they have probably never even been to, let alone gone and actually watched said team in the flesh. How much fun can it actually be from behind your keyboards?

Thankfully the vast majority of UK based Utd fans support their country, and the boys have done us proud tonight.

All of our players can hold their heads high, everyone who plays for City, Liverpool, Spurs and Utd et al well done. Gutted for us, but they have given us an identity and performed admirably.

There’s hundreds, if not thousands, of English United who are at home laughing tonight. Plenty remember the Wembley crowds BOOING United players when wearing the England shirt simply for being Manchester United footballers. There’s banners reading ‘UNITED > ENGLAND’ which travel to every United away game and chants like ‘World Champions twice, Once more than England...’ for a very good reason.

Incidentally, Scousers are very like this, too. I doubt too many English Liverpool fans are crying into their tea tonight either.

Being favourable towards the English national team isn't a prerequisite to supporting United. They're not a package deal.
I'm not expecting people to support England; but actively wanting their failure and mocking on a forum for an English team leaves a sour taste for me personally.

Here’s a thought why not play Walker at RWB and an actual CB at CB.

Said that would be exploited and ultimately cost the team their place in the competition.

It's always a bit sad as a Scotsman when England goes out of a tournament. Bit like cumming from foreplay. The end result is the same but it's over too quick. Still, you've managed to keep us edging for a while this time.

It's just a game lad, every team gets the piss taken out of them, don't take it to heart.

I reckon he just means it's more fun to watch football live?

Just don’t get why anyone would support a team they are never even going to see live - and then go on a forum and laugh at the core supporters of that team. The Utd supporters who go week in week out to OT are the soul of the club, and also they are England fans - taking the pi$$ out of said fans is pathetic.

As an aside, any non-Croatian posters on here actively celebrating this result and enjoying this result; you are definatly not United fans even if you think you are.

Walker saved us a ridiculous number of times

preech

Not enough quality and most importantly not enough balls to play. Croats were a deserved victors. And why play Walker who is accident waiting to happen at CB I will never know.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I wanted England to do well, but then started coming across people who accused people of being 'bitter' about their easy run to the semis. Plus the over-exuberant media hype, the "its coming home" nonsense, people jumping on ambulances, people overrating the players made me want them to come back down to Earth and taste a dose of reality.

And yet you still manage to come across as properly bitter.

Boys did us proud. Nothing to laugh at really. You can be pleased we are out but reaching a world cup semi final is a fantastic achievement. I am not even gutted we are out although of course would of been nice to get to the final. Excited to see where we go from here.

It's only fair that we get to laugh at you if you're allowed to laugh at England. ;) FYI I am only joking, I have no problem with people from different countries supporting United
