Only 3 weeks and 2 days left.
I thought the transfer window ran into the new season for a couple of weeks before closing.

They changed it.I thought the transfer window ran into the new season for a couple of weeks before closing.
Of course I am doing typical assuming just like you are too my friend. Don't think you are doing any much different than me. Time will tell but personnally I have zero faith in Mourinho and I am dreading this upcoming season
They changed it.

You are assuming that everything you are reading is legit when we know media build a big part of their news based on nothing. They even go as far reading forums and create articles based on what some members imagine in their fantasies. How am I assuming anything? Everything I've said can be verified. Scouting reports, stats and watching games from Fred and Dalot will tell you what I've said.
Di Marzio linked us with Mandzukic and Aurnatovic. Aurnatovic basically confirmed the Di Marzio rumour by saying he's honoured to be watched by Mourinho. There was a report from an italian newspaper not known for transfers that we have already bid for Bonucci in the past week. Simon Stone from BBC has also confirmed in a tweet about the Blind transfer fee that we are still doing work in the market.
There is a large amount of evidence that we are going for one player each in the defense and attack. That's not an assumption but something backed up.

We have seen many supposedly strong rumors turn out to be false in the end.
It is no longer an assumption when it is confirmed indeed but if there isn't one yet, it is just that, an assumption. Journalists with great credibility have been known to make mistakes in the past. My point is that we are all assuming, as simple as that. Up until the last second, any deal is still in the air.Umm...2 days after the Simon Stone tweet Blind was confirmed as leaving. This isn't some random journalist, Simon Stone is one of the most reliable in the industry.
Just because someone can be wrong doesn't mean it's an assumption. Something is an assumption if it is based on no solid evidence. There is solid evidence that we are trying for more players from Journalists with a good track record.

If the keeper deals come off he'll have broken the record for a defender and a keeper, but still both fees will be around half what they sold Coutinho for and still considerably less than Utd shelled out on Pogba. This being selective about "most expensive player in a selected position" is mental gymnastics. Until Liverpool spend £90m on a player (forward, midfield, defender, left-footed water-carrier!), they'll still be nowhere near paying the most for a player or even a player in the PL.
Nah that is the thing, I haven't rubbished anything on the United front. I am on the fence there, I only truly gave a proper opinion regarding LiverpoolYou have taken the Allison rumours as evidence that Liverpool are trying to do something logical...then rubbished any evidence pointing to United going after more signings as assumptions.
It's a complete double standard.
Wait, wut???Klopp has probably spent more money than any manager in England since he's arrived. Simple as
Not going to argue with that... most managers are. You're probably right in your assessment of the situation, but he's still a hypocrite either way.
Tell the to the Muppets. There are roughly 6 weeks remaining of the current window. Plenty of time for Jose to unleash a couple of new signings.
Tell the to the Muppets.
Context. In 2016 £89 million was a huge amount to pay for a transfer. Neymar going to PSG inflated transfer fees and suddenly it was costing a lot more to sign players.
£20 million a few years ago is £40 million nowadays.
He didn’t need to comment on it at all but he was asked so he answered.
How are we supposed to know what you smell?People losing their shit over a quote from 2 years ago
Is that fear I smell?
I don’t think he’s ever made out that FSG have no money to spend on players. Not true really.
Klopp made out he had no money and even if he did he would do things differently. Complete and utter rubbish. He's broke the world record for a defender and is trying to do it again for a goalkeeper. He should just keep quiet instead of embarrassing himself.
If it smells like aceton you might want to get your self a burger or your blood suger levels checked .People losing their shit over a quote from 2 years ago

If Klopp spends this money and Jose finishes above them then there's an argument that says Klopp should be sacked.Good post.
Iam not having a dig here but I respect United fans who can see that Jose is not the manager to take United forward. When he first went to United I was travelling and every proper Manc lad I met called it straight away. Ive just read the post you quoted and you are after Bonucci. He's 31 ? If ever there was a potential signing to mirror Jose's ambitions and ego that's it.
I don't suppose Yeargarden 'la was expecting the £ 145 M from the Coutinho sale when he made his outrageously hyprocritical statement about himself being the King of Budgeting & Net Spending. The massive gobshite.
Excuses gonna have to good this year - stuff like concussion they hadn't noticed, strong breezes, pitch being a bit dry & teams fielding 18,000 defenders not gonna cut it now. The massive gobshite.
Their fans love him though that's for sure, possibly connected to him being a massive gobshite, imo.
If Klopp spends this money and Jose finishes above them then there's an argument that says Klopp should be sacked.
We finished a comfortable second under Jose, for this wrong man to spend less than Klopp and do that next year then serious questions need to be asked of his league form in charge of Liverpool.
Its an even playing field now, Let's see what happens and if Jose is up to the task.
It was comfortable, you're just giving excuses why it was.A comfortable second . Most of youse werent arsed in April if it was second or fourth is that right ? Liverpool's run in the European Cup may have played a little part in that ... nah ... just an excuse that.
Anyway... feck the World Cup it's time to get our gloves off !
It was comfortable, you're just giving excuses why it was.
Spurs and Liverpool all had great runs in the second half of the season, we had to beat every single side in the top 6 (in 6 weeks?) to keep that second spot. Which we did.
Our season ended after beating City days after they lost to you at Anfield. That's one extra game from when we lost to Sevilla.
CL focus isn't an excuse there, we probably would have stayed focused if we didn't have 2nd in the bag after that. That's how early second place was secured.
Are you suggesting, that José is the underdog here?If Klopp spends this money and Jose finishes above them then there's an argument that says Klopp should be sacked.
When did he say "I don't need to spend large sums of money on players to make my system a success"?How does any of this disqualify Klopp from being a hypocrite? You are clearly missing the point. He said he doesn't need to spend large sums of money on players to make his system a success, 2 years later he does entirely the opposite. The guy is a hypocrite.
And he has very yellow buckteeth.
When did he say "I don't need to spend large sums of money on players to make my system a success"?
"If you bring one player in for £100m and he gets injured, then it all goes through the chimney," he said.
"The day that this is football, I'm not in a job anymore, because the game is about playing together.
"That is how everybody in football understands it. You always want to have the best, but building the group is necessary to be successful.
"Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.
"I don't know exactly how much money we could spend because nobody has told me, 'No, you can't do this'.
"If I spend money, it is because I am trying to build a team, a real team. Barcelona did it. You can win championships, you can win titles, but there is a manner in which you want it."
What exactly did he mean by that?
