Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

It is about time Klopp delivered. It's funny their fans and the press and pundits wax lyrical about Liverpool and what they are going to win and win they win nothing it's fine because they play nice and weren't supposed to win. Well now they have spent the most money in a calendar year, I believe in English Football history so surely time to deliver? It's his 4th season...

Agree, its been a steady, enjoyable journey for you I imagine. But this season must feel like the one where the end result is what counts?

You need to either win or push City all the way in the league. It's another great opportunity for you similar to 2013/14. We don't look quite right, Chelsea and Arsenal have new managers, Spurs aren't buying anyone. Just leaves City who almost certainly won't match last season's heights. & we know how tough it is to retain the PL. No one has done it since Fergie - 2008/09

Meanwhile everything Klopp has worked on these last 3 years is coming to fruition.

Yeah, the pressure will be different from this season. Scraping fourth would be disappointing.

A question for the gross spenders around here - do you also reckon having selling Coutinho has had no impact on the quality of our squad?

I'd be dead excited if we had him with our current squad tbh. Alas his fee is basically paying for Fabinho, keita and Allison.

But hey buying our way to succes. If only. Pretty sure FSG are still turning a profit on the club.

Explain to me where I've dismissed a discussion?
Guy gives a proper answer. He's dismissed for answering with a discussion instead of a robot yes or no. When he gives the robotic yes or no you answer

Then just bloody say that

He wasn't allowed to give a real answer instead of answering a simple hypothetical that has no real life basis. I.e. discussion was dismissed.

Footballing partisanship aside - Who would you rather go for a pint with?

Klopp, Mourinho or Sam Allardyce?

I only watch Atheltico when they're playing bigger teams to be honest so don't know how they play vs smaller teams i'm assuming they're more attacking. Yes that's the problem with Klopp when you're 2-0 even 3-0 you're still shitting yourself, with Benitez 2-0 i'd be very confident that we'd close out the game.

Attacking football is all the rage at the moment , with Pep Sarri , Klopp and Poch to name a few. But only Pep is lifting trophies so i'm wondering how long this trend will continue.
@Ban

One of the most stupid things people ever say in football is "If we hadn't lost that game..." or things to that effect. Well yeah, obviously you'd have more points. It's such a bloody pointless thing to say

By my calculations if I had a big pair of tits, I still wouldn't be a woman!

Mourinho easily. Who wants to waste time discussing lager with Klopp or listening to Allardici's views on Brexit. At least with Jose you are guaranteed some enlightened conversation.

Klopp is lucky he had Coutinho there before he joined so he could sell him though, that's why net spend etc is a nonsense.

Jose would turn your pint sour though while Klopp personality would grate after a few.
At least with Big Sam you'd have a good drink and a kebab after

Exactly, it's so dumb. I'm sure Man City had some (not many) games where they should have won but they didn't, you can't just say one team gets wins from those games and not think about the others.

It's a weird way of looking at things. I wonder what a "golden goal" Premier League would look like for last season, where a match ended as soon as a team took the lead. (Definitely going to start totting this up now).

We're talking about a club whose fans I genuinely heard saying 'if the goal was a foot taller and a foot wider either side...' that season when they kept hitting the post and bar

Groundbreaking stuff there from Klopp.

Here's some even more mind-blowing stuff, Jurgen - if you won the games you drew AND lost, you would finish top of the league! How about that?

Surely it's expected that Liverpool win some trophie this season? Klopp can't keep spending and have nothing to show for it.

He says he can't promise anything. Excuses at the ready.

Which manager can? Can Mourinho guarantee the title? If he doesn't deliver would you take that as excuses at the ready? Just curious that's all...

According to this place Mourinho already has his excuses ready so.

He can't promise but if he again wins nothing I wonder what he'll say, he didnt expect anything anyway?

Sam would have you foot the bill though.
True, but at least you could piggyback his chat when he pervs on the two single mothers sitting at the bar.
Jose would be the one who doesn't have to make an effort so you would be carrying the chat up line load on your own

As long as Klopp continues to deliver a long line of meaningless statements in the press, giving us United fans a laugh in the process, that's all that matters.
