I hope that's an exaggeration.
It's anecdotal but also drives home the idea that people don't vote on issues as much as they do on everything ranging from likability to identity to emotion.
Indeed, not an exaggeration per se but it's definitely been raised as one of the reasons more often than I'm comfortable with.
My parents are fairly enthusiastic Trump supporters. I watched their political arc unfold from 2015 through the election and beyond and the one common denominator throughout is they watch about 4 hours of Fox News each evening as well as all the Fox weekend shows. They eventually started repeating things they heard on the shows and by now are firmly in the camp that Trump is the victim and the media, law enforcement, and elites want him to fail.
Based on my experience living in Trumpland, I’d say it’s not.

Not necessarily just if things go sour. I've suspected the reason Melania lays low is that she's realised by the time this whole thing is up (assume Trump completes two terms) she's still going to be relatively young. Melania will be 54 by then and Ivanka will be 44. They should live far longer as private citizens again but by association may be social pariahs.
Well, on the bright side, at least they recognize that Trump is not part of the elite.
Melania's got it made in the shade. Divorce once the dirtbag in chief is out of office and then nothing but sympathy and big money appearance fees for the rest of her life.
You have to wonder whether Drumpf Jr. knows how dumb he sounds when he speaks in public.

It’s this sort of thing that confirms to me that Trump and the feckwits he has spawned or gravitated towards his orbit have been heavily media trained with a focus on projection. The sheer volume of times they accuse others of the acts they are so blatently guilty of themselves is beyond irony.
And when no one is looking:

- This assurance shows that while the president has been in a war of words with the organization led by billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch, the administration and the group still share major common goals.
I fecking hate him.
Technically he is right though . Except it's not a large percentage.
He's wrong on all fronts here. The so called fake news is merely his interpretation of ordinary media who pursue facts that make him look like a liar.
I know what he means. That's why I said technically. Fake news got him elected. It is indeed enemy of the people.

The guy at the end of the video Jerry Falwell Jr may be the least notable there but his father basically created the so-called moral majority.
It was his father Jerry Falwell Sr who founded the Christian extreme conservative university Liberty and became a notable television preacher condemning Jimmy Carter for "betraying" his Christian faith by being on the left.
Falwell Sr put into place the pillars for Ronald Reagan to take advantage - the evangelical vote switched from Carter to Reagan overwhelmingly in four years and has been a right wing lock in ever since.
He's possibly the most obviously bad person I can think of.
It's unbelievable, he really is a cnut. How long until a Trump supporter guns down a journalist and this bloated tub of I Can't Believe It's Not Arsehole finally starts to realise that his rhetoric is toxic? I'm so close to enacting fecking Godwin's Law here.
