The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Tell me a US president who was/is better?
Hard to compare honestly. “Better” is hard to define politically. For me politically nost of Europe has probably always been better in my life time, because I’m a left leaning person. That doesnt make it objectively true though.

it's time social movement was started where the rest of the world started to boycott certain American products and hit Trump economically.

the continuing lies from a world leader must be dealt with

The European Union can't even do anything about Hungary and Poland which are members let alone US.

Because he's not one of the richest men in the USA, he just wants people to think he is.

And those that are, know he isn't and have never accepted him or his shitehawk of a father so he's technically right in not behaving like part of the establishment, they won't let him in.
I get your point, but the man still shows his luxury. He doesn't behave like a normal person.

That would require a massive diversion of funds away from individual nation’s social welfare programs into defense spending though. Definitely a Catch-22 there for EU citizens.
That is true, it's more about feeling uneasy that Trump has the nuclear football
Having a mighty military would be lost on the EU
They wouldn't need to rely on the US (and Trump)
Europe doesn’t exactly have a stellar record with possessing military might.
A lot has changed in the last 7 decades or so, one could say the same about Japan.

If the EU had the military might of the US, they can keep Putin at bay all by themselves And wouldn’t need the US.

They wouldn’t since they would still lack the political will to do anything. It’s a bit of an “if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle” type argument. If you don’t have the political will to use it then the idea of having it is little more than a pointless thought experiment.

Who knows if they lack the political will to do anything if they had such military power.

As things stand, there is nothing they can do with regards to Crimea or Syria, so they do nothing.

Everyone knows. There isn’t a hint of militarism in Europe compared to what you find in the US.

That is one of the main reasons why the EU has a pretty weak military in relation to their GDP.

But the EU with a strong military may already be enough to stop Putin before he invaded Ukraine.

Anyway, it's a kind of pointless discussion. It just sucks that the 3 strongest military in the world are controlled by a moron, a dictator and an emperor. :(

It would be more realistic to expect all western nations to reduce their militaries and do away with NATO once Russia and China become democratic states.

That we'll not see in our lifetime. Either the CCP collapses and China falls apart, or the CCP maintain their tight control of the country.

With populism growing in Europe, it's getting worse and worse. Many leaders wouldn't want to ask for more Europe.

One of the dumbest Tweets he has ever written, possibly the dumbest. That's saying something really. He's blaming rivers and streams and forests for the fires. He's not mentioned the death and destruction either. The man is a fecking ubercunt. I despise him.

The first part is complete nonsense and is definitely on the list for moronic things he has tweet.

But his last sentence is actually true (in a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day manner). California native tribes did practice tree clearing which is actually necessary in chaparral climate zones. That practice is all the more important since foolish colonials brought in Eucalyptus trees to California from Australia. This was profoundly short-sighted as Eucalyptus are matchsticks and also spread faster than natives crowding them out and replacing trees like oaks and pines. It actually would be a good thing if California got rid of all of the invasive Eucalyptus.

 diverted into the ocean

Innit

3 weeks Cali has been burning. 7 deaths (I think) 500k evacuated and over 40k homes lost and this dumbass blames yet more EPA laws that he wants to remove just so his fat cnut mates can drill, destroy or frack the shit out of things purely for $$$$.

Maybe he should build a wall around the fires, and get the trees to pay for it.

Denald must under enormous pressure to top the actual Donald’s thoughts on this ‘water going into the ocean’ issue.

Fecking hippy trees, going around burning everything down. Can't count on those libtard rivers to do anything about it either. MAGA MAGA MAGA

Can someone explain his tweets. What does any of that have to do with wildfires?

I must admit I'm not sure I fully understand what he's saying here. It might just be my English that fails me, though. What is this readily available water that's being diverted in to the Pacific? And why can't this readily available water be used to put out wildfires?

There's been a long running political fight in CA about water storage or water conservation. Repubs want to build more reservoirs, dems want to improve conservation. You've also got the constantly increasing thirst for water from LA and SF and the need for them to get it from the north leading to silly ideas like the Delta tunnels. Many want the restoration of Hetch Hetchy in Yosemite too, which would impact the SF water supply.

Most of the people affected by fires are repubs. Hardcore types who like to live in the sticks and bemoan big government until they need saving from fires and big government and Federal dollars suddenly become important to them.

Bbbbbbbbb but yesterday he said "collusion isn't a crime"

I wish he would make his fecking mind up

Time for a "This is awesome" WWE chant.

What’s this Schiff nothingburger going to be then? Collecting evidence as a member of the house intel panel I’m going to guess.

Meet Trump's friend and fixer: David Pecker, the tabloid king

The National Enquirer owner, whose name has emerged in Robert Mueller’s Russia inquiry, has had a symbiotic relationship with the president for decades
”Look at the timeline of specific stories. A story was placed against Jeb Bush when we were worried about Jeb Bush,” former Trump campaign adviser Sam Nunberg said. “When Marco Rubio was surging, the National Enquirer put out a story insinuating he was a gigolo in Miami. And then there was the Ted Cruz story that he had slept with five women outside his marriage. Look at their coverage of Hillary during the general about her health, her corruption. That is valuable. Everyone wants to use this term ‘get eyeballs, get eyeballs’. Forget eyeballs – it’s interesting. Not something you’ll fast-forward on your TiVo. You’re going to look at this. It’s a wacky story. It’s a tabloid. It’s valuable.”

He added, reflecting on the election: “You can talk to lots of people, they’d rather lose with dignity than win. I don’t believe that. We would take anything, any advantage we could get.”

I see, thanks.

Evidently.
