Yeah that makes sense. It would have been incredibly lax of the prosecution to have missed that during jury selection though. Makes me think there must have been pardon conversations. Surely for the crimes he’s accused of though, even Trump wouldn’t have the balls to pardon.

I dont get the pardon bit too much as Manafort will be charged at state level after. Also Manafort has a Trial against him waiting in D.C. for money laundering and failure to register as a foreign agent.
Trump has explicitly stated that the crimes were committed before Manafort began working for him. It makes no sense for him to pardon him therefore.
Seems to me it'll have become unlikely to have 12 jurors that all aren't Trump-zombies. And I guess you just need one.
People need to get used to Trump pardoning left right and centre. He also wont be brought down by this investigation. He can only be stopped in the next election unfortunately.
Manafort is clearly angling for a pardon as he knows he can't flip because the Russians will come after him or his family if he provides Mueller with the information he wants.
Well, I don't know if we can say "clearly" about all of that.
It could be Ukrainians who'll come after him.
It would likely be Russians since they were Yanukovich's sponsors plus Manafort has plenty of relations with actual Russian oligarchs.
