Well in Gundogan's case it's impressive he's even playing at such a high level considering his back injuries.

Both sides remind me of Liverpool when Klopp first came in. Always threatening going forward, but brittle as feck in midfield and at the back.

Brilliant game isn’t it? Two teams who are clueless to their actual defensive set ups are being exposed by their very sharp counterpart managers. This is in game management at its finest.

Is it just me or is it even worse than when Klopp first took over you? I know you were bad, but my god Chelsea in particular look like they never actually discovered the concept of defending.
At least both of these teams are attacking. Their problems are easier to solve imo. If it was us I'm pretty certain we'd be playing for the 0-0. Scoring goals is the hardest thing to do.
I meant the 4 CB's on the pitch, and how people talk about our lot in comparison to our rivals. Smalling/Jones/Lindelof/Rojo regularly get derided as lower PL level types, again this is the standard of our rivals.
Full backs maybe though. Alonso is a traffic cone defensively though, good footballer, not much of a defender.

Cannot say our defending has improved so far on this display....wow, pretty shocking stuff. I do not know if Chelsea has been brought down to our level of defending or if this is really what we can expect from Sarri's Chelsea. We should be up to be honest. PEA should have a couple.
