The problem was not really on the attack attack. He continued saying things that players were not mobile and said "I'm not the manager".
Which looks like or is a dig at Jose or trying to say Jose coached everyone else to be immobile. Do not expect a club captain (2nd choice) to complain to media about his own team or manager.
Pally's analogy comes to mind. Look players aren't the brightest people on earth and what Pogba said is consistent to what we say on redcafe. Ruining a player's ambition of captaining United forever based on one comment is not only OTT but childish and counterproductive.
a- we hardly have the squad to start kicking top quality players out.
b- there's nothing to stop Pogba from asking for a transfer or worse still start/join a coup d'etat against the manager. Mou from all people knows that United can't hardly afford the former without sounding like quitting up winning the title for good and certainly he won't survive the latter.
If you ask me Mou is not special anymore. He is still a great manager but his tactics don't dazzle opponents as they once did. Which means its time for him to reinvent himself, improve on his man management and let others from players to coaching to cover up his weaknesses. Even SAF had to change through time and he did so by mellowing and let guys like Rene and Queroz taking certain tactical aspects of the game. Turning top players against him is madness, as he's reliant on them bleeding on the pitch to make him win. If Mou is sacked after losing the dressing room again then he really risks to be considered in football as the more expensive version of Roy Keane ie a man who keep saying stuff to sound tough while other giggle at his back.
