He was good in his early games, scored a belter in the game v France but that was 2015. I think he's been more anonymous/poor in last year for England than Sterling.
World cup he seemed injured for first game yet took an age to sub him in most of the games.
A) A scheme to guarantee large nations qualify for tournaments, UEFA doesn't want the likes of Italy/Netherlands missing out again
B) A money making scheme for UEFA
C) An attempt to 'legitimize' friendlies.
He hasn't been great for Spurs for a long time either.
