Yes. That's why we need to get that DOF in quickly. Let's be proactive rather than reactive.Challenging. I think a world class CB and maybe another very good midfielder and we might expect to win the thing but that's getting ahead of ourselves.
Are people starting to believe yet..?![]()
Well putI don't know what will happen in the next months, but he's the first manager after SAF that knows where he is, and what's this all about. Congratulations to Ole after this amazing start.
Exactly. Mourinho started like this too. Even Moyes won his first game 4-1.Early days and easy to get excited, but we shouldn't get carried away too much. That's just guaranteeing disappointment.
Craig Shakespeare had a similar bright start at Leicester, broke two records in his first four games in charge, and that's just one of a million cautionary tales from recent memory that comes to mind.
Yep, Newcastle first then we worry about Spurs. One game at a time...I think Newcastle away would be a decent test against a stubborn team and good manager before the spurs game.
It's a bit delicate though. Good manager is one thing but he needs to come in and embrace the club completely. We've had experienced managers all want to do their own thing, and look where it landed us? Just such a difficult role this one.Exactly. Mourinho started like this too. Even Moyes won his first game 4-1.
The start we've made under OGS has been brilliant but I'd still be against giving him the job permanently. We need a proper reboot in the summer and as Neville said, the new manager and DoF need to be the best available.

Poch isn't going to do anything different to warrant throwing 40m at him. Allegri and Conte will be too defensive for our fans.
Keeping Ole looks like our best option. I'm so optimistic about him.
And who do you think is the best available? and in case you get him, will you start again with the rebuilding?
Apart from the results themselves:
- De Gea playing it short and not hoofing
- Center backs playing from the back
- Full backs playing high
- Matic can play football
- Two midfielders attacking the box and not two defending it
- Chase goals and not protecting leads
- The best central mid in the world enjoys playing football
- Actually playing to the strengths of our attacking talent
- Etc.
Just a world of difference.
United suddenly free-scoring, pressing and attacking even when in the lead.
We might concede more than under Jose, but there's no way we'd have scored three before half time with Mourinho at the helm.
It's night and day.
