You might be overreacting just a bit.
I don't think so.
Black people aren't given the benefit of doubt due to association, representation and stereotypes - you see it on the news all the time.
When it happens with encounters with the police, they often tear apart a person's character as if it justifies what happens to them, or as if that person deserved to be killed because they had a few outstanding parking tickets, or stole something from the corner store.
In this case, it has no relevance to Sterling or the manner in which he was killed - they're completely unrelated except by family ties.
Who cares what his son has done 2 years after the fact? It has no bearing on the manner in which Sterling was killed.
