Wut?There’s a counter argument with Moyes of course but you can argue that he wasn’t actually Fergies first choice and they didn’t actually know each other that well.

Conor McGregor seems to be a big fan of Ole. Does Conor support United?
I believe he does. I remember reading he used to be an aspiring footballer at a young age before switching to combat sports, because he wasn’t a fan of the playacting aspect of football.

Rotating in lesser quality players is idiotic. I want us to win. Yeah some of our players need a rest, and if we get a lesser team in the next round I'm sure then there will be rotation. But I've zero interest in seeing lesser player start because they're "under used".
It's hard to rotate when the players in reserves are way off those starting, and that's our issue, the squad isn't that deep.
Wut?
Who was Fergies first choice? And why do you think Fergies didn't know Moyes well? Not sure what’s hard to understand there?
Well, any manager could lose any of those games if not all.
I do think that the way we play would suit against teams like those you mentioned above as they don't use hoofball too much and they use FBs who leave space behind them. Our back line need to dominate in the air a bit more and win 2nd ball imo. But, if teams play on ground mostly, our back line is not that bad.
So, I would fancy us against any of those teams.
The one thing that is making me happy more than anything else about Ole’s tenure so far is that I know that it will be making Sir Alex happy. This is what he deserved to enjoy post retirement.
I genuinely believe it will have been the first time he’s really enjoyed watching us.
Moyes dismantled his coaching staff.
Van Gaal dismantled his playing staff.
Mourinho dismantled his club’s traditions and principles.
Solskjaer rebuilt his coaching staff.
Solskjaer puts faith in his playing staff.
Solskjaer restores the club’s traditions and principles.
It’s not just a case of Ferguson enjoying watching us win, he will be enjoying it for the same reason as a lot of us - because we’re watching Alex Ferguson football once more.

That rashford&martial sub yesterday was brilliant. As I saw this, I was sure that we will score atleast one more and win this game.
I couldn't stand those "1 up and park the bus subs" jose made. With jose in charge, he would have subbed in jones, fellaini and mctominey just to have lingard upfront alone and the rest of the team in our box.
Refreshing to see us attacking against a top team even when we are one up![]()
The board have to have their heads turned at least. If we get past PSG, continue to get results in the league and FA Cup, It would have to be an easy decision. Its getting hard to argue against him getting the job, isn't it.
Pep Guadiola and Ancelotti I believe, Klopp was also in his list. Moyes was 5th or 6th choice at the time.Who was Fergies first choice? And why do you think Fergies didn't know Moyes well?
Not for a minute playing down Ole, but the Mickey, Carrick, McKenna mix just smacks of United men. Solid United men, all arrived from a different point and know what is required. Each with their own influence. That team is as important as the first XI on the pitch, if not more so. Looks like a proper United foursome. Nicky Butt doing a top job too.

If we keep Ole, we also have to keep all the staff. A no brainer reallyNot for a minute playing down Ole, but the Mickey, Carrick, McKenna mix just smacks of United men. It's in his book. Pep was clearly Fergie's preferable choice but he said at the time "retirement" wasn't his agenda so you can tell United and Fergie didn't really have a clear plan on this one.We should never settle on second best but 5th 6th.....??? Feck
The inbreds over at RAWK still loving the fact that we're winning every game because they're convinced Ole will be a failure if he's brought in permanently. Special bunch.
I think it’s been discussed before. Read the timeline and lots think he supports Liverpool. Based on the tweet, I’d say nah, he supports United.

Seriously warming up to him. He has Fergie's tactical flexibility unlike other modern managers who are married to their system and never account for matchups. Ole doesnt even get enough credit for his tactical side. Those results against Spurs and arsenal were hailed as 'tactical masterclass' under the last manager. Ole's big game smash and grabs actually seem more deserved than the shite we praised Jose for in those games. There are no flukes wins here. Ole's counters are lethal by design
Arsenal were really luck during that streak and everyone said they were not playing good football,we've had luck but our play has improved significantly.Man Utd’s biggest worry should be whether it’s just a new manager bounce, look at Emery and his 22 game unbeaten streak but now they are a shambles. I think people are jumping to conclusions way too fast
We weren't this good in 17/18 and tactics are different in big games. Remember terrible performances in Anfield and Stamford Bridge for example not carrying any threats. The use of the false 9 and wide forwards and players being given license to attack is down to the manager. This has nothing to do with a new manager bounce, this has to do with top quality players being mismanaged by Mourinho due him throwing a strop in pre-season. Ole, Phelan, Carrick and Mckenna play to the strengths of this squad and the result is that we are back to the level we were in the 1st half of 17/18. There are some changes but this game was uncannily similar to last season's game at the emirates.
Play to the strengths of this team, get a leader at the back and we'll challenge for the league.
