We can over analyse but in the end we won and should have scored more. Yes they put us under the kosh but would you expect anything less? I thought we played very well in very condensed periods. Big win

Lingard and Sanchez should not be allowed anywhere near the first team, both were atrocious.

Is it me or is there a recurring theme of our players looking tired towards the end of games? Seems to have been that way since the Bournemouth game?

I wonder why we have stopped attacking the way we did before?
I get the feeling that Ole is more interested now in that clean sheet, that defensive shape, more than our attacking progress.

Would prefer if we tried to attack more, with more urgency, we always look better when we do.

And so it begins. Let’s blame the manager

Still think if it's up to me, I'd get rid of Lukaku (200+k/wk), Mata (gigantic/wk), Sanchez (350-500k/wk, and Lingard (100k/wk). And the usual suspect Young (120k/wk).

That (may) equal 10 Son Heung-Min with those kind of wages.

Lingard and Sanchez should not be allowed anywhere near the first team, both were atrocious.
Lingard had a bad game, but has offered huge amounts to us under Ole. He provides a lot of energy and opens a lot of space.

Sorry but I can't agree. Yes we can do better, but we don't have anything even close to competing with him for a start point.

Sanchez is a waste of money and a waste of space. So agree with you there.

Not good really.

Felt like if we had shown a bit more quality and made better decisions we would have scored in the second half... but we had no running left in us by the 60 minute mark.

Leicester were restricted to half chances mostly but de Gea had it all covered.

Rashfords goal was absolutely world class stuff though. That touch and finish deserve to win any game.

Referee made some strange decisions too, but was generally consistent with his weirdness. Think it was Mike Dean?

Dunno why some mentioned JM today during the game, you guys forgot us going full coward defensive mode vs 10 and conceding at the end 2:2.

Great result from a moment of absolute class. Tough away game, where we had all the big chances, but left a lot to be desired in our general play. Good enough on the day.

Negativity is too rife here. We won the game you numpties against a tough opponent. I watched every second we were not terrible. We won so let’s move on.

Yeah let’s play Mata on the right instead!

I think Mata would've better suited suited in this game, we were crying out for someone who can retain possession.

Having Sanchez and Lingard in the same team is a recipe for disaster as both are woeful in keeping the ball and their end product.

So who should play instead?

We need to use as many players as possible, and Lingard covers more of the field than most players!

Let us enjoy the game and the 3p, and stop throwing the players under the bus!

Nobody said that we didnt, wish people will stop with this spin bullshit already, reminds me of 0:0 game vs Liverpool at Anfield, people were saying disgrace of performance while others having a go at them with " you think 0:0 is bad result away vs Liverpool!?".

Great win at Leicester away, they are capable of taking points off of anyone, so we must be really happy. Our first 11 is good and picks itself, but lack of quality in depth may cost us, as around 70 minutes into every game - Rashford and Lingard especially go missing and they just seem knackered. Fred's lack of playing time, clearly shows me that the coaching staff have little faith in him, as when it needs refreshing he is nowhere to be seen. Sanchez continues to be shadow of a player he used to be. I have trust in this set up now though to get in right by identifying the right players to bring in the summer.

Running out of steam. Couldn't even move at some point. Leicester in the same boat though. Very odd match.

We were fairly poor but defended well. Didn’t deserve the win.
Odd thing to say. So is having deadly attackers who made the best of our chances compared to Leicester(who hardly got any clear cut chances) don't deserve to win? Might I ask why exactly?

They used all their energy up against Pool:drool:

It’d be nice to not litter a VERY positive result with ‘oh but we should have played better, should have scored more’. It’s fine to say as much but a little perspective wouldn’t go amiss. Respect the opponent and the league. We got a great result

Definitely weren't playing well for most of the match but this was always gonna be a tough fixture and I'm thrilled with 3 points in this one.

Really want to see Dalot get a run at RB though, not sure Young is cutting it.

I think we're a bit tired with the accumulation of games and the team still not used to spending as much energy as we've had to since Ole took over.

Midfield was a bit all over the place, too many loose balls and panic especially coming from Herrera. Young was also not good.

I reckon we have a bit of emotional exhaustion creeping in. The exhilaration of losing Jose is fading. The next eight weeks will be a big test of this management team.

Matic, Young and Lingard were dreadful, surely about time we gave Dalot a chance. Thought Rashford was pretty quiet after his injury. Leicester were thankfully absolute shite today so we didn't have too much to worry about. Easy to moan about but Mendy he should've been off for Leicetser. Lukaku delivered possibly the worst cameo of the season.

Very tough game, impressive win, even if the second half performance was poor. Still we created the biggest two chances of the game, and Leicester, despite being all over us in the second half, didn't create all that much.

Think Ole is getting the most out of this squad at the moment.

Ugly. But I will take ugly.

what is clear is that the right side of our team desperately needs a refresh. Lingard is not the answer. Young needs to move on.

If Fred couldn’t get on today, he needs to start worrying.
Agreed. Young hardly got anything right today

Was always gonna be a tough game away to Leicester, so I’ll happily take the win.

Some awful performances today, lingard young Sanchez standing out. I thought we should’ve made our changes earlier. Our passing was atrocious, and there was space to exploit on the counter which was frustrating.

Sometimes you gotta grind them out and I’m glad we were able to.

Seems to me like we have reverted back to cautiousness now there is actually something to play for.

Whether that's the manager or players doing I do not know.

I don’t understand why we always get overun in midfield. Pogba,Matic and Herrera should own ndidi, mendi and maddison

Tough game and 3 points is good, but the second half was inexcusable. Ole might need to look at why we taper off after bright starts.

There's nothing illogical about that, that's the whole point: Why do we look so drained when we rotated players last game?

Actually it is. Loads of indignant comments on here when we rotated some players vs Burnely, but this game just shows it was more than needed. Mou was more than happy to have us park the buss and play hoofball and it is more than evident that the new style under Ole has exposed lacking fitness levels in some of out players and the lacking quality in the back up players

Not the best match, but the three points are the most important thing!

intensity seemed to go the longer the game went on.

I posted a thread back a while ago about stamina levels.

we've a team who used to run the least in the league playing like a team who are running the most.

we have, on paper, a reasonable squad but I'd argue we don't have the depth of quality - we have our problems but CB is probably our strongest area ironically

can we trust Pereira, Fred, Sanchez, Lukaku to perform when Martial, Pogba, Rashford and Lingard aren't on it?

I'm not so sure but they will have to

A good win today. Leicester can be really difficult.

Some of our better performers under performed and our usual poor performers were doing what they do.

Hopefully our fitness will improve.

We were the better team in the first half and the worse team in the second half. Fabulous goal from Rashford and De Gea had a bit to do, but nothing was too troubling. We weren't great, but overall we were ok. I don't think Ole will be happy outside of getting the three points, he (like all of us) want to see more from the team. But it wasn't terrible, just not that great either.

We were shocking. Was bound to happen eventually under Ole though, and I'm thrilled with three very difficult points - Leicester have made life a misery for the top clubs this season, a win and a clean sheet away from home is awesome. However, we need serious improvements for the upcoming games.
