Since Kane didn't touch it was he still offside? I imagine that if he headed it the flag would go up. Otherwise the foul is before? I don't know this for sure.
One where he should have hit the target.Hasn't Laczaette had 2 good chances?
I haven't argued against that. I argued against saying the ref can't do anything unless the assistant raises his flag.He can only overrule him if he saw it himself.
What do you mean? Offside is a 100% black and white decision. The reality is it's an incorrect decision.
It has it uses for sure but I'm kind of waning on it myself as well these days. It looked good at the WC but I fear that was a small sample and maybe we got ahead of ourselves. It will be a work in progress for sure seeing how you'll still have humans in charge. And then there are still people who are against VAR.

I'm torn to be honest. It's so tight.
It was offside in either case. He was affecting the play (Mustafi).Since Kane didn't touch it was he still offside? I imagine that if he headed it the flag would go up. Otherwise the foul is before? I don't know this for sure.
No way. Offside is first. So offside clears pen decision
I still can't decide if that pen was soft.
Think the ref made the right call, but by a small margin.

These players get me so vex I swear![]()

Rose and Trippier have both been feckin terrible today.
He’s got oneHow the feck has Xhaka escaped a yellow? 3-4 times he should have been booked.
I followed Schalke vs City game, Schalke got a similar penalty. According to the FIFA rule, if an offside player is fouled then penalty is given.
No it doesn't.Which would make sense, but the rule says opposite. The VAR decided it was a pen in city-schalke based on that.
He doesn't need to touch it. As long as he is participating in the play, he is offsideSince Kane didn't touch it was he still offside? I imagine that if he headed it the flag would go up. Otherwise the foul is before? I don't know this for sure.
You're probably right. We want them both close. A win for someone will give them confidence to kick on. Draw is perfect, both wont be happy with it
Derby game. Can happenThis is terrible football at the moment.
He has a magic spell onXhaka is pulling a Kante today, cannot get booked.
But the guy in that situation was nowhere near the ball and hadn't become active. Kane was closest to the ball and was going for the header, thus making him offside.Which would make sense, but the rule says opposite. The VAR decided it was a pen in city-schalke based on that.
Studio referee saying penalty should not have been given and was offside first.

I would say a draw, really any result if OK. Spurs win, it hurts Arsenal, Arsenal win it brings Spurs back to the pack. A draw, both drop points. So what suits us more?
A draw or a spurs win ?
(And I wonder who is more likely to have a bad finish of the season amongst those two)...

Peter Walton.that's totally different to the BT ref on the City game, who is the BT ref out of interest?
Fernandinho likes this post.
Rose now having to play in central midfield because we have no midfielders. What a joke.
It seems soft because it's not given often.I still can't decide if that pen was soft.

Wrong.
