The whole of the ball has to be over the whole of the line … looking directly down at it! Not from the other side of the pitchWhat does the rule say? Because the ball was self-evidently over the line, but what part of the ball counts? Is it the wides point of the sphere or the part that's actually on the ground? The angle from inside the pitch clearly shows grass between the ball and the line, so the only way it isn't out is if you view it directly from above when the full circumference might not have crossed over entirely. I'm not sure which it is.

If any part of the ball is above the outermost part of the line then the ball's still in play. With the ball being a sphere you can see grass under the ball with the ball still in play if you're looking at it from the pitch.What does the rule say?
