Fantasy Premier League 18/19

I am not sure I would trust Chelsea right now even with easy games. Cardiff and Brighton will both fight to stay up so it might not be as easy as people think.

Cardiff and Brighton are tasty games though. They struggled against Wolves but that's a different kind of opposition.

Think I've settled on Aguero as TC.

He's definitely gonna play more minutes. I feel Sterling wont start the first game and won't come on for long if city are way ahead. They really need to game manage.

With 1 point in it between City and Liverpool, I don't think Pep will prioritise rotating over starting his best XI. I see both starting personally.

The free hit looked smart to use last game week, and then we had a shocker of a week. Then they moved all the doubles to this week, making this the hindsight best week to use it!

Oh well.

Have wildcarded this week, to get Aguero and Hazard in, who have to be essential, and ended up with 11 double game weekers. Changed Shaw to Lindelöf as didn't like the yellow flag, and will gamble Wan Bissaka plays two.

Sacrified Docherty, as I needed some money and also another next game week player, and have 8 playing next week.
Aguero captain.

Only variant I considered was taking Jiminez out for King, but just in case he does play two, he's in great form - 20 points over 2 gameweeks! And also has a double in 4 weeks, plus a huge amount of wad tied up in him!

Argument for King over Jim, would have been in case Jim is rested one game, and King has Burnley at home, versus a blank. But bigger picture arguably is keeping Jim in.
Can always change late doors, as have 0.5 in bank.

I suppose it comes down to will Jiminez outscore King by more than the 4 points hit I'd be likely to take to bring my numbers up to 10 next week?

Finalising my team and keep coming back to this:

Kepa
Azpilcueta / Schlupp / Lindelof
Hazard / Sterling / Son / Sane / Pogba
Aguero / Rashford
The only players who I’m really considering are Jimenez, Kane and Laporte.

Anyone have any thoughts?

It's a good team - better shout to have Augero over Kane to be fair. Sane + Sterling can be risky though.

Cheers @VP89

Team value is quite high so can also afford this with Kane:

Kepa
Luiz / Schlupp / Lindelof
Hazard / Sterling / Martial / Pogba
Aguero / Kane / Jimenez
So that’s Martial / Jimenez / Kane vs Sane / Son / Rashford. Actually looks quite one sided when it’s written that way!

I just have a feeling City attackers are going to explode so tempted by a triple up with Sane.

Need to change one of my 1-match players (Leicester's Mendy) for a 2-match player.

Thinking a chelsea player, cos they've got 2 easy-ish games. Not got much dollar to spend.

Jorginho or Hudson-Odoi?

Oh wow, that’s a surprise. If this is based on being at the Lowry could the club have potentially let him stay at home given the birth of his child..

Will read more on this but that might change things - could go for Shaw potentially.

What are your thoughts on the teams I posted above Sparky? Also what you going for.. then the rest of us can copy you.

not looked at my team in a month and its a total clusterfeck, but I'm going triple capt Aguero this week

really wish i didn't donk off my free chip a while back now

Yeah I wonder if he’s being allowed to join up tomorrow given the new baby

Why do you say that?

From Manchester Evening News
Sources close to Lukaku told the MEN in midweek the Belgian needed time to recover from a foot injury that ruled him out of United's FA Cup defeat to Wolves two weeks ago, as well as Belgium's European Championship qualifiers against Russia and Cyprus. Lukaku's camp were reluctant to earmark the round-of-16 Champions League first leg with Barcelona on April 10 as a possible comeback fixture, since United travel to Wolves before then on Tuesday.

Lukaku only returned to United's Carrington training complex on Friday, having undergone treatment in Belgium, but still checked in with the rest of his teammates at The Lowry Hotel on Friday night. Martial (knee), Shaw, Matic and Rashford (ankle) were also present. United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suggested certain players would have late fitness tests.

Solskjaer gave us nothing the little rent-a-qoute git. Ole out!
Up until this week he's been perfect for fpl managers, being really up front about who will and won't make it. Shame he spent the last press conference jabbering about getting the job :(

which cnut do us caftards think will play more minutes, aguerö or sterling?
I'm triple captaining Sterling; but only because I don't have Ageuro and getting him in my team would be a faff. I reckon if you have both Aguero probably the better option.

Struggling to fit Aguero, Sterling, Kane and Hazard into a FH team that’s worth it. Kane is the one that causes imbalance. Not sure it’s worth it over Rashford, Jimenez and a better defence.

Anyone got any good setups with those 4?

I tried and failed. It's easier if you replace Kane with Son or Alli.

I've decided to do something silly and replaced Rashford with Vardy. Not sure how long I'll last before the deadline.

This is one of my potential set ups at the moment (squeezing almost all of my team value):

Foster
Azpi - Laporte - Schlupp
Sterling - Hazard - Martial - Pogba
Jimenez - Kane - Aguero

This is has good balance, may go for it. Just not sure on whether Kane is worth it and worried Jimenez will be rotated.

It’s down to two choices for me.

First option

-----------------Ederson
-----Valery - Wan Bissaka - Luiz
Hazard - Deulofeu - Pogba - Sterling
-------Aguero - Kane - Rashford

(Valery only plays one game v Brighton)

Second option

(Switching to a 4-3-3. Deulofeu out, Lindelöf in. Valery switched to Saiss - cheap Wolves defender)

------------——----Ederson
-----Saiss - Wan Bissaka - Luiz - Lindelof
—-———Hazard - Pogba - Sterling
-——-----Aguero - Kane - Rashford

Any input would be appreciated please.

I prefer the first option, but only just.

I think all of your defensive choices have question marks over them. Saiss might be rested for one of the games, as Wolves will have one eye on the FA Cup semi-final. Wan Bissaka has been injured and is back in training, but it has not been confirmed whether he is fit enough to play - plus, if you have a Palace defender who is only going to play one match, then you want it to be the first one versus Huddersfield at home, rather than the second one away to Spurs in their new stadium. David Luiz was recently rested against Fulham, so may also miss out in one of these games, though I don't think he will and I have him in my team. Finally, we know that Lindelof doesn't appear to have arrived at the Lowry with the rest of the squad.

In either case, I would consider changing Wan Bissaka to Schlupp, for the same price. Schlupp has been in good form and is currently playing in midfield, so might even pick up a goal or assist against Huddersfield to compliment a clean sheet.

My FH team comes down to Lindelof + Azpilicueta vs. Young + Rudiger.

I'm not thinking too much any more. The more research and planning you do, the harder you feck up. I learnt this from the last game week.

Are you set on Kane @IrishRedDevil

No :nervous:

He’s such a headache. When I take him out, I can have such a better balanced team throughout. I keep taking him out and start spending the money elsewhere, then I have visions of him scoring a hat trick at the new stadium...

Spending 12.5 and not even considering him as a Captain choice speaks volumes, though.

Are you sticking with him?

Thank you.

I have had the first team locked in all week, the second option has only come around this morning when the last minute doubts have kicked in.

The issue I have is Wan Bisska is already in my team so I only have a value of 4.2 for him, not the 4.5 I need for Schlupp.

I am worried about my defence but I haven’t got much money to spend back there, unless I remove Kane.
