Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Funny thing is that second Hazard goal actually dropped me 300 places. Was finally, briefly, in the top 1k before that.

It's just not meant to be...

Twice in 2 weeks that hazard and Chelsea absolutely wreck by OR. Went to sleep at 5k, woke up at 10k. :(

Should end up on 76 (-4). Mate below me in my ml got 25  I think he'll give up now.

I had the same this week. Got to 29 points in the end, having spent 12 points to even have a team to deploy. Nearly all points came from defense with Rüdiger, Azpilicueta and Wan-Bissaka contributing 21 total.

I am now 3 points behind the leader of my league, going to be super tight finish. He has better bench but I have better first XI now. It may come down to my Aguero versus his Kane.

Lloris
Azpilicueta Laporte Lindelöf
McNeil Son Mane Sterling Pogba
Aguero Wilson

On paper it looks like it has do deliver me points but you never know. I’ll be rotating Wan-Bissaka in quite often but I’m thinking about getting rid of Clyne, pocketing £0.6m and upgrading Wilson to Jimenez. I think with just 5-6 games to go bench is going to be useless.

86 points all out and GW rank of 24k. Tielemans points would've been much sweeter if it wasn't for the goal from Maddison, but can't complain really. Brilliant week and I'm really close to top10k OR, which was my goal mid-season, after a bit disappointing start. Hope I can pull it off!
Wildcard active, bench boosting next week. No idea how my team will look like come Saturday though. I think I really want Kane.

75 points this week with no hits.

I was over 100 points behind the league leader. Now the gap is only 4 points. Time to wildcard and bench boost while he doesn’t have any chips left

We have been playing against each other for a few years now. Last year he won, the year before that I beat him by one single point in the last game of the season. From memory I triplied captained Sanchez that year and he got 75 points to put me back in the race.

I've just remembered the ML leader who I'm now only 56 points behind has already spunked his wildcard. He's been saying it's over for ages so I'd love to beat the fecker.

should be on 77 but went full spastic with auba over vardy. what makes it worse it that vardy has newcastle (h) with a chance of europe for the first time since the title winning season while auba has watford (a). not saying he won’t score but what are the odds.

not even a bad decision as well. was about to go to sleep and totally forgot vardy and leicesters easy run.

Jota worth going for on wildcard?

I think so.

Looking at this team

Patricio Foster
Trippier Laporte Robertson Duffy Dunk (will get rid of one of these next gw but a double this gw is a risk I'm willing to take)
Sterling Bilva Son Doucoure Jota
Kane Jiminez Deeney

I’d bring in hazard over sterling personally but good team otherwise.

Hazard doesn't have a double though. I've had him til now. Could still get plenty of points and Sterling might be rested in one but I need to take the risk of big time points I think. He could get a brace against Pool and a hattrick against Burnley though so feck knows.

Consider deulofeu, has a double as well. Never mind you have cover there already, I forgot:lol:

I doubled up on Leicester midfielders last week with Maddison and tielemans however I will swap one of them with one of the Watford boys. Who will I take out? I’m upgrading Wilson to Vardy as well

I was really impressed with Jota against Watford at the weekend. They weren't the same side after he went off.

Picked the wrong captain again from Hazard, Vardy & Salah.

Can't moan though. 72(-4) from 10 players. Felipe and Pogba out for Maddison and Hazard paid off.

On to the wildcard and bench boost...

Thats still pretty good with Salah as captain? I managed 60 (with Hazard captain) but with only 7 players playing.

It's between him and Doucoure but I think I'm sticking with him there.

Yeah he's quality. Been bringing some points in the last few weeks too.
I like their fixtures a lot as well. Southampton then Brighton and Arsenal. There's goals to be scored. Then Watford Fulham Liverpool after that. They could definitely get 2 in every game.

Yep. At their price point I'll be doubling on Jimi and Jota. Hopefully they can get their heads up after the semi final defeat and push on for 7th place finish.

They seem the type and there'll be a bit of first season PL wind behind them. Plus the potential for big contracts with the money at Wolves.
All signs point to FPL goodness! No one quote this if they blank loads now.

Currently got this team WC34 + BB35.

Ryan / Lloris
Cathcart/ TAA / Doherty / Dunk / Valery
Sterling / Hazard / Mane / Jota / Ward-Prowse
Kane / Jimenez / Deeney

Can't bring myself to get rid of Hazard as i hope (rather than expect) he will smash the scousers at Anfield. Plus a tasty fixture v Burnley for gw35.
It may not be wise to have 3 Wolves assets - they can concentrate on the league now but their morale may have taken a battering after sunday's loss.
Also not entirely comfortably with getting rid of Aguero . . . but I like the look of those strikers gameweeks 34+35.

87 points this week, my highest single GW score of the season with 3 of my "premium" players on the bench, what does that tell you about this game

Captain choices this week other than Kane?

My options are Sterling (Palace away) , Hazard (Liverpool away) , Lacazette (Watford away), Vardy (Newcastle home)....or a cheeky punt on Dunk with Bournemouth and Cardiff at home.

Is it still worth bringing in vardy or have I missed the bandwagon and stick with Deeney instead ?

Quite similar to mine, my first draft done today (also BB35) was something like

Ryan/Foster
TAA/Kolasinac/Doherty/Dunk/Bednarek
Sterling/Mane/Son or Eriksen/Jota/JWP
Kane/Jimenez/Deeney

but no Aguero feels a bit odd. Only one City player is probalby not the wisests. And to think that I'll be selling Vardy and Hazard after all the points they brought me last weeks...

Bilva over Mane?

My wildcard decision seems to hinge on Kane and Sterling (24.0) versus Aguero and Son (20.3).

Kane and Sterling costs 3.7m more, but for some reason I seem to prefer the Aguero and Son option.

Removing Aguero just doesn't feel right and Kane has only scored 10 more points than Son all season despite costing 4.0 more.

Has anyone done some research on who will most likely play full games in the DGW?

I have on Kane, Eriksen, Vertonghen and Mane, TAA. They all look solid to play 90 minutes and every game. Jimenez also.

Son on the other hand does not look certain and Martial's minutes varies much. Really need to pick good players this time, that will get both DGW games. Not so sure Sterling/Aguero will.

Bilva over Mane?
Could probably afford Jota->Bernardo, and I am considering that but as much as I rate him as a player, I'm not that sold on him scoring points.
I want to have at least one Liverpool attacker, even without them having double GWs. For the end of the title race, I don't want to miss out on them and City fighting until last game...

It's always a lottery but

  • Spurs - Lloris, Alderweireld, Vertonghen in defence. Kane & Eriksen most secure further foward.
  • Liverpool - front 3 all ok and defence fairly obvious although TAA more prone to rotation than Robertson & VVD. Midfield irrelevant.
  • United - Smalling, Lindlelof, Shaw, Young is first choice defence. Pogba most reliable in midfield. Rashford slightly more reliable than Martial & Lukaku?
  • Arsenal - lots of rotation here but Lacazette seems more favoured than Auba. Defence is shit anyway. Midfield is a lottery.
  • City. Yeah right. Ederson the only guarantee. Laporte most favoured CB. Mids all prone to rotation. Aguero favoured over Jesus.
  • Chelsea. You only need Hazard in attack right? Azpi nailed. CB's sometimes rotate when Christensen gets the odd game. Emerson seems preferred to Alonso now.
  • Smaller clubs summary - Wolves like a bit of rotation (especially with the wingbacks) but have less reason to now they're out of the cup. Watford have rotated in defence and Deulofeu was dropped recently in favour of Gray after Deeney (nailed) said he preferred playing with him. Southampton don't rotate much (Redmond, JWP, defence all fairly safe). Brighton have a nailed CB partnership but mess about in midfield and attack sometimes.
Anyone else?

Agree on all of it. Deulofeu played like 4 games in a row during winter, so if he's rotated then it'd be because of other striker preferences. Taking my chance with him though. What a goal and impact against Wolves

Think I'll go for Bernardo too. Value for money. Plays a lot and seems to be high up the hierarchy and plays even when Silva and KDB is ready.

Apart from the Fulham game he hasn’t scored more than 4 points in a game since week 20.

Feckin Kane. Kept hold of him over the BGW only for him to go and injure himself :wenger:
