UEFA Champions League Quarter Final fixtures (9th - 10th, 16th - 17th April 2019)

Can't see them holding on. It stinks of a 96th minute City winner...

This game just reminds me how you need technically sufficient players in your team if you want to compete at the highest level. Not just your "ball playing defenders" or playmakers but all 11 -including your keeper and fullbacks- should be at a certain level in terms of how they do under pressure, how comfortable they are on the ball, how good can they protect the ball, how can they pick the right pass and at which speed etc.

Football is a positional game now and it's all about technical qualities. Even your physical DM should be comfortable on the ball like Fernandinho for instance. Most of our players have been the ones who shit the bed under pressure for a long long time. This has been an issue for us since a long time ago. We even had this issue under Fergie imo. That's also why you can't carry players like Fellaini, Lukaku etc. in your team if you want to be a tactically dominant team.

Spurs better lie down for City in the league if the result stays the same.

City miss out on the quadruple.
Spurs more games to upset their top 4battle but don't win it.
Barce beat pool but ajax win it.
City make extra sure they win the league
We sneak 4th

I can see clearly now

Imagine what would be said if Smalling did the things Laporte has done tonight.

Good for everyone if Spurs win this.

No quadruple shite
City can focus on the league, stop Pool winning the title.
Spurs will have two games against Ajax to navigate, boosts our top four chances a bit.
Ajax better chance of reaching the final.

Sane will score or set up the winner. Ridiculous player. Maybe the best talent in the PL. Should be an automatic starter.

Emirati oil money buys you one hell of a squad. Sané coming on. For the love of god

Dont jinx please

Nah. Even if it slightly brushed his arm the main contact that puts the ball in the net is his hip. 100% goal
I'm not sure what the rule is. It definitely flicked his arm first. I would be pissed if that went against us, not gonna lie.

It can't be a treble either right? Since treble consists of PL, CL and FA Cup..

I like your thinking.

As if Spurs will hold out. No chance. City are lucky they’ve got Ajax in the semi finals but you never know given who they’ve knocked out so far. A City - Liverpool final is possible.
