Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

No doubt better than the game yesterday, but think the BT pundits are over exaggerating how good a half this just was.

Keita would have closed down alba much quicker than Henderson did. He can be a bit of a liability in tactical awareness

Which is the smart thing to do in most situations. He's really good at backing off while cutting away the angles, which slows down the attacker and allows his teammates to get back and help
That and patient which many defenders don't have

I actually hate Michael Owen, like despise him deeply

One of my mates who is a Liverpool fan said before the game that one of the reasons he has that stat of not being taken on is because he backs off quite a lot when an attacker is running towards him

Your friend read that stat wrong. It's not dribbled past, it should be named as tackle lost.

This was supposed to be a good half? Was boring as feck if you ask me.

Though I suppose that's more down to not really giving a feck who wins

They would struggle to repeat this even if they kept all their players.

Perhaps, but knocking out Madrid and Juve on merit is not to be sniffed at and who knows how they could develop if there was a possibility of permanence, who they could add. A bit of variety away from the standard Juve, Bayern, PL teams and Barca/Madrid would add great flavour back to the CL

Semi annoyed we haven’t played our best team here considering how well we’ve played. We can win this it’s just when the margins are this fine...

Hopefully we can grab a goal but I’m not seeing it at the moment

Liverpool very much in it, keep the score at 1-0 and you'll have no problem finishing these lot off at Anfield, especially with that crowd!

Looks like Matip finally knows what to do now.

Ah alright cheers! Roberto seems slow as compared to Mane. Liverpool have largely just played the ball to Mane and created all the chances from there.

Yeah, Mane has been far and away Liverpool's most potent threat tonight, as he has been most of the season.

Come on Barca get a couple more goals

They already have an amazing talent in Dembele. Not sure why he doesn't start more often.
Dembele was fantastic for the first half of the season - got injured a few weeks ago and struggled a bit recently since coming back.

I wish someone would actually break Suarez in half just to show him what a proper tackle is.

Pool fans gonna hate Suarez after this match.

I'm not really that bothered he's scored to be honest , been 5 years since he's left now. It would probably feel bitter if we was playing season straight after he left because of the way he left in the end, but it's not like we're a team in disarray without him now.

Why haven't Real brought Salah yet?
Zidane really wanted Mane last summer and the player was apparently very interested. Alas...

I would totally throw liverpool 500 millions plus their pick of our players for robertson, mane, salah, firmino, fabinho, van dijk and maybe even Alisson. A man can dream :wenger:

I don't mean for the goal. :D
