Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

Ajax and Liverpool exemplify everything we should be. It’s no surprise they’re making the final whereas we continue t paddle shit.

Our greatest Dutch pundit Rene van der Gijp is advising Spurs to just not turn up for the 2nd half.

Spurs need a miracle here. They're the first team since bayern truly capable of exploiting ajax's weaknesses. Unfortunately for them ajax are just as well equipped to exploit theirs, and they're in better form

Liverpool though, are built to counter ajax. Final will be a cracking game, if ajax don't have a meltdown here

Ajax has always had a clear vision and had the opportunity to mold their players and club a certain way. They finally had the right core of players, manager and understanding and this is what happens. Regardless of them wining the CL Final, this is their Golden Generation (again) only difference is it will be extremely difficult for their team to NOT be picked apart from other clubs. But they know this and have players from their academy and pipeline of identification who will fill the void to some level.

United just never have had a clear vision. If the vision was give the reigns to the manager, it still has failed because the board has not given full support to any manager post Fergie. Sacked Moyes before the season's end while only getting in Mata and Felliani. Sacked LVG before his 3rd season for Jose and the playing styles were completely opposite. Jose's teams were in ascension for the first two years, results wise, but then everything went to shit going into the 3rd season.

Ajax deserve all of their success because they stuck to a clear, transparent plan. United had no such thing, and still have no such thing. It's fecking baffling.

This is spot on.

I have the horrible feeling in my gut that Woody will try everything and more to sign De Ligt, will fail, and the remaining great players of 2019 Ajax will sign for other PL teams, PSG, Barça, Madrid and/or Bayern. Feck.

De Ligt? More like De fecking Lit! Him and De Jong are smooth as silk under pressure. Gegenpress this Ajax team when not at Anfield and see what a rapid counter-attacking, press-resistant side does to you.
Wasn't it you who said Valverde is always better in the 2nd match or something?
So we take it liverpool win then?

I am happy how the Champions league turned out this season. All the plastics got binned, whoever deserved and fought for the final most got it.

Guess they have to do it but at 2 down and unloading central midfield this could get very ugly for Spurs.

Is their a clause in Alli's contract that he can't be subbed in games? AWOL again.

De Ligt is a handsome bastard, isn’t he. Some people just lead a charmed life.

Posts like this make me wish for an upvote button on here. The only point i'd disagree with you on was Moyes. I think a lot of people forget what an utter laughing stock we'd become under him. In addition to Woody, being in his first year, trying to splash the cash like a drunken sailor on shore leave. We only signed Fellaini and Mata because they seemed to be the only ones willing to come. Moyes was stand-out poorer than anything we've had since Sir Alex.

We are admittedly in an excruciatingly bad place currently but do you not think that the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City are not all looking at the money that built the two likely squads that will reach the final with incredulity too?

Watching this Ajax team and enjoying a nice chamomille tea isn't too shabby.
