Post-match discussion

Ole completely inept and his selection of Lingard just highlights it. The team isn’t coached to break teams down and it’s just left to them to get on with it.

Our squad isn’t great but we could be miles better with Klopp or Guardiola and you all know it.

Hey guys, let's have zero expectations. This is a mid table team with most expensive defender. Too much drama, underperforming players like Lingard, Rushford, Pogba, Tom (not XI), Young. No expectation, no frustrations, no sadness.

Top 4 won't be realistic. We have a shit management, poor manager, did not invest. Yet we kept a lot of shit players

Absolutely fuming. We can't break down deep defenses, our midfield is absolutely atrocious, Martial and Shaw are made of fecking paper, Palace are cnuts, the ref was a cnut and Ole is a fraud.

Words fail me after that performance. Horrendous defending, De Gea howler, missed penalty, zero creativity, piss poor set pieces, multiple injuries, it's tragic at every level. All of this at home against one of the worst sides in the league.

If you weren't worried before the season, start worrying now. It could be one of worst in a long time, and that's saying something.

One CB is passing the ball to pogba only for pogba to pass it to the other damn CB, they then pass it to the next available midfielder who passes it to a winger who then passes it back to a midfielder. Rinse and repeat.

Occasionally the Spanish chuckle brother messes up in goal.

That's all we're getting this season.

Muppets here didn't want Dybala. We are beyond clueless in the final 3rd.
We had 15 shots and 1 on target about 20 minutes before the end, and that 1 on target was a rashford volley from about 40 yards out.

Not to mention the refereeing was one of the worst displays of officiating I had seen in a while.

Same old story at OT.

Teams park the bus.

They then scored from the 2-3 chances they created as any two of the chuckle brothers feck up.

The chuckle brothers are any 2 of our CBs.

James summed it up by celebrating an equaliser. That's who we are now. Wouldn't blame Pogba for leaving.

De Gea is that good, we've known that for a while now.

Horrific. Set the team up to counter a defensive team.

Lethargy from a team three games in but don't worry the issues last season and our collapse were solely down to fitness not say, structure, identity, character or technical ability.

Fitness was code for I haven't a clue from Ole, our team lacks so much bottle and so much bravery that I cannot remember a player successfully taking on a player.

Paul Tierney did so happen to have a catastrophic game, simply negligent. We would of lost regardless but special mention to him.

Another record in the bag though lads, but dont worry Rashy and Jessie will come good.

I really don't think that the tactic was so bad. There where mistakes, but we were the better team, had more chances and more than few attacks where we were stopped with fouls where the referee failed to give a card which allowed Palace to continue fouling. We should have had at least one more penalty and they should have had at least one red card, plus we missed a penalty.

The goals we coneceded were huge individual mistakes and were made buy players most people want to play (I don't rate Lindelof, but.....).

This team has a lot of flaws, but I don't think that the tactis is the issue.

And yeah, James should play ond the left.

Shockingly bad. Until very late on we showed pretty much no willingness to commit Palace by running at them, which was baffling because every time we did they gave away a free kick or a penalty. So much of our 'attacking play' was players just passing to someone else, cos nobody wanted to take responsibility for the ball. All these one-twos around the box that went absolutely nowhere. For much of the game only Wan-Bissaka was standing people up and trying to beat them. That's not acceptable.

Some evidence today of which Ole made late subs against Wolves: The subs today made a negative impact. Where they weren't anonymous they were actually damaging to us e.g. McTominay covering in midfield instead of Mata stops the second Palace goal. Its a pity that Greenwood looked so ineffectual today but it was a reminder that he's only a kid still, and not everyone can be Premier League ready at that age. Beckham hadn't even kicked a ball for Preston at 17...

Our defensive unit continues to have major questions over it. DeGea has made far too many big mistakes in the last half a year to be wanting to become the best paid player at United. Lindelof got made to look Lindelost on the first goal.

So much wrong.

And yet.

What angers me the most today? VAR. Absolute joke.

Fecking shite. Feck off.

All positivity gone.

We haven't changed at all. Still so fecking clueless in front of the goal and doing critical mistakes costing us the games.

Only thing new is the bench is now totally useless and lacks any solutions.

So many passengers again in our team. Especially Lingard and McTominay. They shouldn't be anywhere close to starting games for us but yet they somehow find themselves as our best options.

Terrible as it was during the last period of the last season. And nothing became better, probably nothing will become better. We are in deep lack of quality on every line possible. Even De Gea became hollow.

Rashford, Lidelöf and Lingard should be nowhere near the starting eleven after their performances today. If Ole starts accepting shit like that and keeps on starting them he is stupid beyond belief.

This performance could have happened at the end of last season, I see very little difference. The crowd were up for it, but that won't last seeing as these sort of performances will be happening time and time again.

Disgrace

The sad part is the realisation that it’s another tough season after the positive start against Chelsea

Too many dross and deadwood stealing a living from the club. Reality check for our fans. Please lower your expectations, we are not very good.

Pretty much sums up the last 5 years. Be cheap in the transfer window. Come up 2-3 players short because you are at budget. Rely on players who should have been sold (Lingard, Young). Pin your hopes on a 17 year old. Have no quality first squad players on the bench because you came up 2-3 players short in the transfer window...

REPEAT

Seasons over already!

I give up on these players, Shaw more likely to have a heart attack on the pitch than actually contribute anything!

we look devoid of any creativity

it will be forgotten now but that non-penalty from VAR was a shocking decision

I was gonna say that if Rashford scores that pen we go on and win this game and Palace quickly showed me I know nothing by going on to win.
For about an hour we were not good enough in our attack but had 1 or 2 moments that yielded 2 pens (nice turn by martial and one-two with martial and Scott). Other than that our attacking cohesion was pretty ordinary. Young Dan James produced a moment of individual brilliance. Rashford was awful today as was J-Lingz. Pogba was trying and did the odd good moment too which is kinda how I summed up everyone. No ONE player was higher than a 7/10 today. Definitely 6's and 7's. Maybe Martial 7.5

Nothing new here. Seen the same dross from midfield for years. Yet we were concerned about Bruno keeping possession. Embarrassing leak like that when we are crying for a player with creativity.

No excuse for Solskjaer either. To keep Mata and Gomes out for Lingard and James in this match. Amateur move.

Not a great game but not bad either, bad luck and individual errors cost us dearly again. DDG needs to go and Lindelöf isnt good at all.

Very happy for Roy Hodgson. Seems to be a really classy bloke.

This result after the Wolves game should serve as a reality-check for the ManUtd-fans. Chelsea will end up above you lot.

Freak game. Should have won comfortably.

How do you figure? The penalty was United's first shot on target. United created next to nothing and wasted most of the little they did. It was a shockingly bad performance from United, this certainly wasn't one of those "keeper has a worldie, United hit the bar 17 times and lose 1-0" games.

Thought we were awful against an awful team. Palace barely looked interested and still beat us. We didn't create much and looked slow all game. Lingard and Rashford absolutely awful. Awful awful awful.

This should be a positive and constructive thread on the manager and Marcus Rashford penalty taker
