Yes, let’s over look the successful years and just look at the past few months. Some of these players were good servants in the past. However, now some of these players are lacking motivation and poch will need to refresh his team to get back to his best. He did well with some of the addition he made last summer...however, only 1 of those additions seems to be the only one fit
. That is the limitation of managing a club like Spurs. If Poch has extra cash, Dybala and Cancelo should have been targeted and brought in. Those two players would have vastly improved Spurs and built competition and confidence in their current players. If you did see it then you should understand if Spurs wasn’t so wasteful, the narrative would be different today
He has won nothing. Tell me are Spurs really that inferior to Liverpool on paper?
I have a feeling Brendan Rodgers will end up at Spurs and they might actually be considered serious contenders then. Pochettino has been there for what like 5 years now and he's been a failure. Won nothing major. On paper Spurs aren't that far behind Liverpool. Pochettino isn't the man to take United to the top.

Rogers is a maybe if Pochettino walks or gets the sack, but that would not be until Christmas. And a lot of other names in the pot.
Im not so sure on paper Spurs are equal to Liverpool, who makes it into a combined 11 from Spurs? Kane, Mo Salah and Eriksen would be your front three? No one from Spurs midfield makes the cut over Fabinho and Henderson, Spurs FB's dont even get a look in, guess a case could be made for either Vertonghen or Alderweireld alongside VVD. So two players, Kane and Eriksen, with maybe a third.
Give Poch the money and wage capacity of City,Pool,Utd,Chelsea and Spurs would be serious contenders.
Any manager can only take Spurs so far and their resources.

I'm not sure you can call him a failure because he's won nothing. He has qualified for the CL several times whereas before they weren't contenders. He has therefore brought tens of millions to the club in prize money. That's why Levy and Spurs will show loyalty to him. I doubt they will sack him,.
Liverpool has won nothing until 5 months ago. What was your opinion on Klopp until then?

You could say Kane is better striker but I don't see him more fitting than Firmino in Klopp's system. I can still see Firmino making it into Poch's XI playing behind Kane.
Spurs were qualifying for CL though? I think his record looks a bit better in this era because Chelsea, United and Arsenal have fallen way back that they aren't guaranteed top 4 anymore. Previous managers were up against Cl qualifying machines
Spurs would have had to play as bad as today not to qualify imo, it's not as if Redknapps side would finish 7th in todays league
People were calling Klopp "Flopp" right until he won the CL with Liverpool. So yes, Klopp was seen as a failure by many until recently.
Some were still claiming Mourinho was doing a better job after our 2nd place finish.

Poch's side has now failed to win any of their last 10 PL away games. I saw Brighton in action a few times already this season a side struggling for goals but they strolled to a 3-0 win today. First bit of pressure that Poch has been under as spurs manager and he's struggling, i simply can't see how he could handle a bigger club whereby the pressure in on within a few games.
Yes he is and he probably landed the best job he could ever land in terms of "pressure" that he would certanly feel with the United or the Madrid job.

It's quite clear our midfield and attack are midtable quality at best, and that's without taking our injuries into account. All things considered he's obviously not performing well but I wouldn't say he's underperforming either.

He’s the reason they have these high expectations and no he hasn’t won a trophy yet but he’s got them consistently competing in the league with the big boys.

Don’t forget there was the settled big 4 before, and he gatecrashed that.
Maybe form an agreement but with what Poch said before the CL final I would think he'd take a break if he got the sack soon, go back to Argentina, recharge and pick up the reigns of his new club in the summer.
Rodgers was written off too when his Liverpool side flopped. Now after a few years winning titles in Scotland with no competition and a few good weeks with Leicester he’s going to win the league with Spurs while Poch is written off.

Poch has pushed them, from 5/6th, but also teams like United, Arsenal have fallen off and created the opportunity to get into 4th.
