If memory serves me correct, you predicted us to finish top 3 this season.
I thought you were you just winding us up, as nobody who knows anything about football would predict that.
But what about now...do you think that we'll finish top 4?

I think if we come back after the international break with martial/pogba and Shaw we will give it a genuinely good go.

We need an incredible year with injuries.

I'm not angry, I'm not humiliated, I'm not sad.

I'm bored and nothing more. These results are no longer a surprise, you only need to look at the score predictions here to see the worm turning - vast majority expect us to drop points in every single game nowadays. Reality has hit home and it's frightening.

We have been left with a scarily shit squad of players who are being given terrible coaching by Ole and his team, nothing more to say.

If he isn't gone in the morning, losing 0-4 or 0-5 at home to the Scum might be the final nail in this bizarre experiment's coffin.

This experiment shows you what happens when you take a squad of lower-midtable players and have them managed by a bottom-tier manager (maybe even Championship calibre manager). This is the result. Nobody with a brain is surprised, the writing was on the wall since the summer.

Ole out.

I can't disagree with what you are saying apart from the very last . We should be calling for Glazers out because it is under them that we have become the laughing stock of English football

We need a better manager. potch is not a winner but will build a better team with the players he will be able to sign with the financial power. We won’t be able to sign any good player cause nothing to learn from Ole. No one wants to play for him apart from the young players who don’t want to say anything bad.

DDG interview: asked what is wrong. Answer: Everything. What can you do: I don't know. I don't know what is happening. Now tell me the manager has told the team what to do and that they players understand

This is both refreshing to hear and terrifying in equal measure.

This doesn't sound like a squad and coaching team who are on the same page in the slightest. Basically, you have your GK and major earner admitting nobody knows what the feck to do to stop this spiral from continuing. Not an even a Mata-esque load of bullshit about 'the players are hurting' or 'we'll bounce back'. Just flat out despair, in a composed response.

This club is in MAJOR trouble. We're sleepwalking to the grave.

I totally agree but they aren't going anywhere yet, we cannot persist with an inferior, incapable manager in some bizarre protest against the board. All of them need to go but the first step is to acquire a manager capable of managing this football club.

None of those are bad decisions. Lukaku wanted to leave himself, the guy was basically on strike, and even refused to report back to the club.

Make no mistake, Woodward is a huge problem, and even with a new manager, if this cnut is still in charge, we will see more of the same.

Lukaku wanted to leave because Solskjear had sidelined him as our number 9 for rashford when he took over in December.

what has made it even worse is that he is destroying rashford because of this awful decision, so he basically not just us losing 1 striker but 2 with how rashford us badly struggling with the pressure thrown in him to be the main man already. To think "anti-youth" Mourinho actually protected rashford far better than the "United way" Solskjear.

Imagine the board stick with Ole and we get relegated and the scousers lift the premier league!

:eek::(:annoyed:

Saw my first United game in 1969. this is the worst they have ever been. utterly clueless and that has to be down to the coaching. sorry Ole has to go -- and now. need to finally get allegri in (if we wait too long we'll end up with fecking zidane) and he needs to clear out a lot of the utter dogshite who claim to be footballers. be nice to see woodward sacked but that won't happen unless there's a takeover
You started watching in ‘69, we got relegated in ‘74, were perennial mid tablers in the ‘80s and finished 13th in 1990 whilst spending a lot of the season hovering just above the drop zone, people forget that because we won the cup on a run that included three 1-0 wins. And THIS is the worst you’ve seen us play?

Are you sure?

What‘s the point with Fred?
He is the most useless player on the pitch.

This was bad, but have faith in Ole please everyone. I see progression and we will still get top 4 mark my words

That is correct, as long as he is calling the shots we are going to get worse, and maybe even relegated. Think about that for a second, It is not impossible.

Ole knows he can just stick young players out there and he has a ready made excuse and can say he is sticking to the club's heritage. All players need to be good enough regardless of age, and the manager needs to show some ability to change things up when it's not going well.

I’ve been restrained to this point but I’ve reached my breaking point with Ole. He needs to go. Now is the time. Do it during the international break. We have Liverpool in a fortnight, then at Norwich who annihilated City. That’s 6 points lost in the next two matches and we’re likely in the psychologically jarring relegation position. Do it NOW. That is all.

FFS Rashford is nearly 22. There are loads of players at 21-22 play better than this

Another important away match, another must-win scenario, 12 points needed like oxygen, against a club in relegation zone...and of course it has been a 1-0 miserable defeat.

Do we need to sink to the 16th-17th spots (next weekend, after a belting by Liverpool?) to sack this "interim at best" tiny, sad manager? Must it come to that?

Imagine the board stick with Ole and we get relegated and the scousers lift the premier league!

:eek::(:annoyed:
I couldn’t care less for Liverpool when we are in such a deep shit ourselves. We need to improve OUR performance

Love Ole. But sorry. He has to go now. Had to put my dog down today so watching this was a great tonic....
Sorry to hear about your dog. Hope you’ll be OK soon.

Hate to do same with our cat last year and it was terrible.

Why blame Ole? Inadequate support from top. We saw that during the transfer window & ta report the owner took a further loan via United shares.

It's pretty simple.

Average and below-par players, coupled with shambolic owners. Add a manager completely out of his depth and you have a recipe for disaster. We are now in an actual relegation battle. Let that sink in. Manchester United are in a relegation battle.

I can't blame the young players too much. (Not including Rashy obviously). It's a completely toxic atmosphere to perform in. Experienced players should be leading by example however they have demonstrated they aren't fit to wear the badge. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. (Marcus Rojo wearing the captains armband at the end??? feck me sideways.) The signing of Fred adds to our long list of dog shit Brazilians that we sign. Should be nowhere near the team. Andreas Pereria is a squad player at best. (One which who looks absolutely terrible when playing with zero confidence. How many years contact did he sign???) 2019 and somehow Ashley fecking Young is still bringing dog shit after dog shit performance. (I do hold the club accountable for not properly reinforcing this position - Controversial opinion, Luke Shaw will never "make it" at United). Juan Mata never fit into style of play (doubting if we ever had a style these days) and doesn't have the legs to even run anymore. He will surely go in the summer.

Our biggest issue is that we cannot score goals. Rashy is not a striker. Southgate admitted it, the fans can admit it and I believe deep down, Rashy can admit it. The 2019/20 season was supposed to be Martial's chance to show why we paid circa 50 million for him. Failure to perform and stay fit and it could spell the end for him. It appears post-Fergie we have accepted mediocrity and complacency. If you can't perform, you should be shipped out. Forget about the financial loss. Keeping ahold of the Rojos, Jones, Smallings, Youngs, Matic' are only hurting us.

Woodward should be held accountable for almost single handedly causing us to be in this position. Selling Lukaku, Sanchez, Fellani and releasing Herrera without capable replacements is borderline gross negligence. We all knew that injuries would completely obliterate the squad. Expecting players like Greenwood, Chong James to win games is absolutely shameful.

"I can't give you any time, but we're getting there.." Two points off relegation and we're getting there?? If he mean's to the championship then absolutely. I would love to know what attacking drills we do in training because the players have absolutely no clue what to do. All this shite in the summer about making them the "hardest working team in the league" should have rang alarm bells. Focus on running and "giving your all" is absolute bollocks. It screams of a busy idiot manager. He'll be gone before Christmas. The glazers can accept medicrity but not at the expense of their pocket.

In summary, I'm disgusted and saddened in how far we have fallen. All in the same season it looks like Liverpool will win the league. Wake me up when the season is over. Hopefully we're still in the premier league.

I broke my Tetris record in the first half and Sudoku time in the second
I did 800 calories on the elliptical while watching game so feel quite happy it wasn’t a complete waste of my time!

Lee Dixon said today "I don't even know what the system or game plan is from man utd"

And he is right. No-one had a clue today. Maguire and tuanzebe passing it between them again and again says it all. And it's the same game after game since ole was appointed permanently and it's the same football van gaal was playing, slow, ponderous, short. We need a coach with an idea and the ability to coach it.

Ole's players have been the better ones this season, but there still appears to be no plan

The positives.

1. Ashley Young's set pieces were better than the usual .
2. Tuanzebe looking more solid.

Supposedly Klopp wasn't a winner on redcafe this time last year. What Pochettino has done on a shoestring at Spurs is arguably a greater achievement to what Pep has done at City with a bottomless pit of cash.
Pochettino most certainly is a winner. What seems to be happening at Spurs now is that he feels he's taken them as far as he can with limited spending, and might not fancy the rebuild.

The most important job of a CEO at a football club, is to go out and get the best manager in the business. Moyes, Van Gaal, Jose and Ole were/are far from that. Yes Jose has won trophies but that type of heavy spending, short-term manager who does not develop youth, and who has a stiffy for astronomically expensive burnt-out 30 year olds, should never have been hired here.

Right now there are just a handful of managers on the planet who would be right for the Man Utd hot seat, and to return to winning ways you really should appoint one of them -
Pochettino, Nagelsmann, Marco Rose, Tuchel.... And to a lesser extent Eddie Howe

De Gea has said it's the worst he's ever seen at Utd. Worse than Moyes, LVG, and Jose. They all got the sack and yet we're still worse off.

I remember going all over the country to watch the team that won the 1990 FA Cup..yes they finished 13th that year but they had heart and they could battle.

I always thought that they were desperately unlucky. they could outplay teams and yet come away with no points.they were going in the right direction, this team is going nowhere.

Neville getting stroppy with Souness, who was talking more sense. I know who my money is on!

We need better players. How many players in their prime do we have fit?

We have a lot of promising youth players coming through at the same time. With the young lads we're stuck in the position where ideally they would have been introduced gradually into a functioning team and this hasn't been possible due to poor signings by Moyes, LVG and Jose.
All of Oles signings have been good. The major plus in today's game was Axel and younger players will get invaluable experience this season.
Judging Ole with the resources he has available is pointless. We were in a similar position last year with a manager with a successful track record and a team of adults.

This season is about giving minutes to the emerging players and looking at adding to the squad in January and the summer. Sometimes you have to knock the old house down to build something good enough to last.

I think I speak for everyone here in saying that the right thing for the Glazers to do now is to rehire Mourinho, make Ole his assistant, and order Woodward to commit seppuku live on The Paddy Crerand Show, as reparation for his years of gross incompetence.

We have a lot of promising youth players coming through at the same time. .

I'm not seeing this to be honest. I think they're Januzaj Mcnair Blackett etc mark 2

Some people are so blinded at how crap we are, that they refuse to accept that Wan Bissaka on top of the 3 you mentioned, is a huge part of our team.

You take Martial and Pogba out and you're taking the 2 players who can do anything beyond the standard out. It's a huge difference.
