I feel our club is just rancid from top to bottom. Bloated squad devoid of any real quality. A manager who is championship level. Inept board and backroom staff. Not sure how we turn it around.

we get taken over and we appoint a director of football who appoints a coach and we work to a vision.

thats how

Sacking everyone that thought we should be blowing 80 million on Maguire would be a decent start

See Liverpool. Unfortunately, it may also take us 30 years.

I think it's time to wake up and smell the coffee. We won't get out of this shit for quite some time.

Yeah, and it doesn't seem that difficult.

Give the footballing reigns to somebody else other than Woodward and work with a plan.
BUT
It won't happen anytime soon, so yeah there's a way back, 3....4....5 years down the line

Not with the Glazers and Ed in charge. Liverpool had shit owners less than a decade ago. Their fans successfully put pressure on them to sell. We need to find a way to do the same.

We are an example of the worst way to run a big club and how to mismanageme a club from top to bottom. I swear it's just heartbreaking now , everytime I feel like we have hit bottom we find gutter depths to go down to

5 years can quickly become 10
10 years can quickly become 20
We're on a Liverpool like descent with this ownership

Kneejerk reaction. We’re doing alright, and will get better.

Owners are clueless and they’ve entrusted the running of the club with a CEO who’s clueless who has appointed a few clueless managers

Like the holy grail of feck ups. You couldn’t write a better script if you tried.

Nope, we're too far away.

File under AC Milan.

The entire club needs an overhaul.

Sadly the only way that seems likely to happen is with a change in ownership which would probably mean Saudi takeover.

We will be back. Could be a long time though. We aren't learning the lessons of teams like Liverpool and Milan. Instead we arrogantly believe because we are Manchester United it will turn around.

Got an excellent young core. If we make 3 or 4 of the right players we can go up several levels. We had 3 key players missing from the first team today. Add some quality and depth to what we have now and the future will look a lot brighter.

We arent that far off ffs. Liverpool and City are at their peaks, we're on the way up but really are pretty much on par with anyone else in the league. Hampered by injuries and lack of depth, but it's a young squad getting better.

Things change quickly in football. Sometimes just need the right signings to really fill the gaps and complete the squad at the same time, the right players stepping it up. The right series of events could see us challenging for the title in 2021/22 imo. Needs the right signings, and possibly Pochettino replacing Ole (even though I dont hate him being manager anyway). But its doable, especially with the talent available.

We're in the process of fixing the bloated squad. Unfortunately it takes time. Recruitment will make or break us, and thats been our biggest problem.

A manager can be changed easily.

That's the bad part. They are probably the only ones rich enough.:( We need rid of Ed and his cronies.

I honestly believe as a top club we are done. We arent winning any major honours in years and 4th-8th is our place now.

We are a long way back from even thinking about a serious challenge. Given how things have gone the last 5-6 years it’s hard to be optimistic that we can even do it, I don’t think we have even taken the first steps yet.

The owners simply aren’t in it to win, football has moved on, nothing is going to be handed to us and we can’t just brute force spend our way to success anyway (besides we tried that already anyway).

Probably will get worse before it gets better, these are some testing times.

We'll back at one point for sure. Liverpool were a joke of a club for years. Unfortunately it won't be any time soon for us. I'll say give it at least 5-6 years for us to challenge for any major thing.

Yes, of course there is! Giving the reigns to a Director of Football and give the managers job to someone who understands how to coach and manage a squad. Now is the time to do this!!

We have a really decent first eleven. It just needs 2-3 quality players and a good coach!

Levy and Fenway were nowhere before they signed real coaches and suddenly they were getting all the plaudits.

The Glazers are no worse than any of the other money grabbing owners in the league. We need a good coach and a bit more quality in the first eleven, but we are not as far away as people think.
