Could they void the PL due to the Coronavirus? | No | Resuming June 17th

I think they said in the press conference today that the peak may be around June and last a couple of months. If that’s true next season will almost certainly be affected to some degree.

The season resumes at some point with Liverpool winning the PL and United winning the EL

or

The season is abandoned with Liverpool winning nothing and United failing to get into the CL because we finished 6th last season

?
The second one because less people will die

I’d take us finishing 17th if it meant those thugs will end up potless this season and the 30-year wait continues unabated.

That's it then. Football is done for a while. Might just go listen to R.E.M now.

Hilarious. Absolutely hate organisations like the PL that does something only when it hits them directly. No players/managers infected? All good, who cares about the general public, let's play in front of 70k people just to make that extra cash.

This. Easy choice.

Not a wum, I asked before, what will the financial impact be for Utd for another CL-less season? Must be close to the bone now?

I checked the Utd forum, nothing there.

Was gonna post the same thing. Let’s push and push until someone high profile is critical or ends up dead, then we’ll think about it.

It's fecking mad isn't it.

Every other major football league in Europe has stopped, other major sports around the world have stopped, we have players self isolating, the Arsenal manager is confirmed to have the virus and they've only just agreed to have an "emergency" meeting to discuss it further.

What the hell are they thinking?

Probably fake stuff on reddit but saying some clubs.

Totally understandable, but they can't have it both ways. If the PL then go on to decide PL final positions then there should be no complaints. Their house, their rules.

Isn't it also a bit mad that they've let Cheltenham go ahead? There will have been hundreds of thousands of people there the last few days.

Having to have another season in the EL will not hurt at all if it means your wait for the title ticks over to 31 years though.

Not that anything to do with football really matters now.
