Cuomo as now dragged his daughter into this with the "boyfriend" . It's like a reality show
UK now officially has the highest death toll in Europe
UK now officially has the highest death toll in Europe
Deaths per head or excess deaths would be a far better metric than simply total deaths. Media will frenzy over the death toll being highest in Europe.
I can't agree there. Every country measures their total deaths differently. Belgium, for example, includes deaths in care homes where Covid-19 is expected, but not confirmed. That gives them a significantly high death toll than, say, if they used Italy's definition of a death by Covid-19. Then you take into context variables like the size of cities, age of population etc. and it becomes an overly simplistic number that doesn't really mean anything.Total deaths is by far the most clean cut and unbiased metric there is. Everything else is liable to distort the picture when comparing countries. Although differences in how deaths are tracked/reported still make it problematic.
Ah shit bud. Get to a doc and get checked out early. Was feeling absolutely fine this morning and even went for a walk at lunch time. Then over the course of the afternoon have slowly started to feel lethargic and hot/cold and a bit “off” (technical term).
Just took my temp - 38.8°c![]()
Covid or not I think flights prices should include the damage the given flight does to the climate. That obviously means it's more expensive.

My very best wishes to you and cross fingers it is nothing to worry about.

It will indeed. Meanwhile I’m taking these claims re herd immunity with a massive pinch of salt. Completely contradicts all available data on mortality from every other country.
Let’s just hope they don’t issue a press release announcing herd immunity after they’ve tested their first 100 patients!
Anyway, herd immunity long term issue. So not important now. Main thing is you’ve loads of ICU beds still available. Which is good to see.
Get yourself a test booked my man!
Who can apply for a test
You can apply for a test if you are:
Anyone with coronavirus symptoms can apply if they live with an essential worker, a person aged 65 or over, or someone who travels to work.
- an essential worker with coronavirus symptoms
- aged 65 or over with coronavirus symptoms
- someone who cannot work from home and has coronavirus symptoms (for example, construction workers or delivery drivers)
So with Virgin leaving Gatwick what’s our thoughts on aviation post Covid? Flying becoming more expensive, less flights and only for the rich i imagine.
Or a professional footballerNo can do!
I dont think so
whatever happens the planes have already been built and are going to operate for somebody for the rest of their service life... that might be new companies if existing ones go bust but somebody will put the planes in the air and people will still get on them I think even if there is a tough couple of years for airlines the planes will be around for 20 years and somebody will be flying them at whatever price they can get for it
And people think the government has done well. I honestly cannot understand people. So the UK now has the second highest death rate in the world for covid19. Absolutely shocking.
Well, good luck.NHS advice is to avoid docs surgeries with a fever, to take paracetamol and drink plenty of fluids.
No other symptoms so just gonna follow that.
Well said.
The olds couldn't be happier with the government at the moment,
Magic money tree appeared. I agree with the furlough policy, one of the only things they got right.Ive said this a few times but what the government done here regarding financial help was unbelievable tbh.
Yep. Bloody ridiculous levels of bias. And yet I see feck all on the media or news there about how bad it is, even on the BBC it's barely mentioned. Yet when Italy and Spain were at their peak all your saw was stories about the horror over there. Shocking.
This seems to be have been done to the city 1.2m, not the region 2.4m. Unless I missunderstood. For the city it seems plausible.Karolinska did this again for Stockholm region @Pogue Mahone with average testing day 11th April, so not too far off the original findings. 10% had the virus then.

Should give FHM alot of confidence in their model’s 26% prediction for Stockholm Region in early May.
Is there cigarette and alcohol sales during this pandemic in your country?

Well, good luck.
I don't get the incentive to retire less efficient planes while fuel prices are low. Surely high fuel prices would provide a kick up the backside with regards to getting more fuel efficient planes out there. If fuel prices remain stupidly low then we will see early retirements of older, fuel inefficient planes to get newer planes which are way more efficient, and which the airliners will be selling at significant discounts either up front or on the back end wrt maintenance.

Well, we know the deaths, Sweden reports quite accurately. More actual cases leads to lower IFR. Sweden is going for the herd immunity in a controlled way, they don't specificly state that, and it is a little more complicated, but in short, it seems to be their strategy.I don’t understand why high prevalence in a city would be cause for optimism. Unless you can somehow completely isolate that city from the rest of the country. Which would cause even more trauma for citizens than the most stringent lockdown measures.
I’m actually starting to wonder if all that matters in terms of how close we are to herd immunity. is prevalence throughout Europe, seeing as the European economy is so dependent on freedom of movement.

Yeah, big increase on Alcohol sales last month as well due every one being locked in, same goes for fresh meats as well with all of the lockdown BBQ's.Is there cigarette and alcohol sales during this pandemic in your country?

Yup, but they mentioned a population of 1.22m in that article. A bit confusing. The test they fecked up was for the region so it’d be rather odd to then just do the city.
I can’t find the actual info to confirm or not, but so far everything has been region based, I’ve heard no individual “city” information in any field.
