Protests following the killing of George Floyd

Yeah they probably will but the whole country have seen them for what they truly are. In particular those ultra patriotic folk who tried to make it into a race thing, well there were no black or brown people committing these acts today.
Nazi salutes, pissing on the memorial of a copper who fought against a terrorist. Bullying people having picnics. Blm won’t be “framing anything”. Today was as clear as day.
Rightwing talking heads will say that the "protesters" today were instigated by the behaviour of the last few weeks.

When you're so thick that forcing your brain to work in order to make some word salad causes you to run out of breath.

Rightwing talking heads will say that the "protesters" today were instigated by the behaviour of the last few weeks.
And any sensible person would see through it

Christ alive. Why is it that people can't realise how monumentally fecking stupid it is to be out in a city with thousands of others protesting at a time like this. I don't care whether its the vets/patriots with the far right cnuts or the BLM activists with the far left cnuts. Ugh.

Yeah it's annoying but not surprising. Never underestimate the level of stupidity the human race can stoop to.

From a man who says statues should stay up as they teach the UK about their past faults.

"Hitler err killed the people who wanted to umm kill them."

I don’t think I saw this covered here, but a young black man was found hanging from a tree after a BLM rally a few days ago. They are treating it as a suicide, but he didn’t seem to be high-risk according to people that knew him. It was north of LA right down the road from where an unarmed 61 year old AA man was killed by police in his living room the day before. Daily Beast

And last night an AA man was killed in Atlanta, apparently shot in the back after resisting arrest. ABC News

And the West has the audacity to judge other countries from some moral high ground? Absolute bollocks, these scenes are fecking atrocious.

That guy on the ground looked half-dead, one comment said he also got stabbed...

Thought about that one the other day, glad to see there is a discussion to take it down.
Proud to say that one of my former students / football players is one of the guys who started the petition and got it on the news. Awesome kid who has become an even better young man.

And if anyone ever wondered why he won the election and why he has so many supporters it's rhetoric like that. This is the UK's future so get used to it. England has shifted way too much to the right for me to have any faith going forward.

Their right to be racist.

Wearing a Rangers tracksuit... I'm stunned.

Seems more like good old fashioned rioting to me.
Can you explain the difference?

Havent gone through all this thread but from the couple videos i seen it doesnt look much different than what happened in America.

Apart from what happened in America be a legitimate cause.

Edit to say im not fanning the flames, its a genuine question because I haven't seen enough of the videos to make my own judgement yet

Standing in front of a statue defending Churchill because he "killed Hitler" while his mates are running around throwing Nazi salutes.

I think most people who support edl will think their boys did a cracking job of defending Churchill and any trouble was the polices fault

Blm will frame it opposite and in the middle there is a bunch of people thinking ffs there is a pandemic why is nobody social distancing

Can you please bin it with all this nonsense about the middle being the moral high ground here? "The truth lies somewhere in the middle" head ass reasoning

Of course we have racists, the racists of years ago haven't gone away, they have just got older and bred in that time.
'Yes, but you see, these are British racists - and therefore better than any other nation's racists. World-beating racists.'

Open topped bus parade. They will be wanting a few knighthoods for this. If I were the queen I would be sharpening the sword.

Person 1: “racism is bad and should be consigned to history”

Person 2: “get back in your box and don’t challenge my racism”

Person 3: “The truth is usually somewhere in the middle, I’m so reasonable”

Same guy?

No that guy's wearing jeans the other guy had jogging bottoms and seems younger and sounds like he got stabbed and sent to hospital.
There's a picture going around on twitter, which i am not sure am allowed to post on here but looks in a very bad way

Not really... there will be people who feel more strongly about cv19 and social distancing than they care about either side of the protests
Personally having lost a neighbour and having a work colleague in a coma with cv19 I feel that probably both protests will end up killing thousands of people and im not sure thats going to help their cause in the long term... which is a shame for blm imo and I couldnt care less about the edl ... but both protests have put many at risk imo

There are many people who are understandably staying at home because of concerns about the epidemic. But that doesn't mean they're in the middle. Some feel strongly that black lives do matter. Some of them are racist. And some don't care either way but that doesn't make them rational measured people just because they're in the middle

To say neutral in an argument, is to take the side of the oppressor...
