Can we get a result at Leipzig?

Quite honestly I would be delighted to just make into in the draw even though it means potentially drawing a group winner
As mentioned by others, if PSG wins, we are always going to be 2nd. Head to head they are ahead

My gut feeling is we'll play for the draw and play against a Leipzig team swamping us from the first minute. I'm not feeling positive.

Going to be our counter versus their possession game. I doubt we will put five past them like last time.

It is criminal though. We should never be in this position in the first place.

Leipzig have played 7, won 7, scored 18 and conceded 4 at home so far this season...

We need to start better though. Can’t be going 1-0 down like we always do. We’ve actually been losing in 9 out of our 14 games this season. That is really shocking.

They are an average side managed by an exciting, tactical manager - we are a top team managed by an amateur manager, who knows on the day. With Werner gone and Klostermann injured, Sabitzer far away from fitness levels, maybe one of their players get into our team. One. They played Poulson as striker at Old Trafford, last year they had Werner. We should not be afraid of this game, but everything is possible. I think we’ll at least secure a draw if trailing in the second half, we’ve become better at the adrenaline thing when OGS’s FM-tactics are thrown out the window.

Question is if we lose to Leipzig, how many of you will want Ole out?

For me, he has to go if we fail to qualify from the position we were in. Not because of the result itself but because it's just more evidence of our non-progress with us always being the "nearly" guys, always taking one step forward, two steps back.

And before people point to Klopp, he actually won things with BVB and got to several finals before becoming successful at Liverpool. The best Ole can point to is pathetic semi final defeats.

I hope I won't jinx it but since when we are "weak mentality in these types of games"? We actually did well in the past whenever our back is at the wall.

Honestly, theres a higher chance of the Turks whopping them than of us losing to RB. The Turks arn't an easy opponent by any stretch.

We've left ourselves a lot to do when we should have had the group sewn up weeks ago. We've now got a cup final against Leipzig just 4 days before the Manchester derby.

Confident that we will not get a win.

I think this is a difference type of pressure where the result actually count, rather than PSG away where if we had lost it wouldn't have really mattered.

I don't think we have the balls, to do a job. Remember how terrible we've been in the Prem

Of course we can get a result. Win, draw or lose is a result.

Depends. If we beat West Ham and City either side of that, it will feel one way. If we lose in Germany, then lose to City again at Old Trafford, it will feel awful.

Definitely. We were good enough to beat PSG today if not for Martial missing sitters.

Leading, not beating. They hit the bar and scored before Fred the red, even at 2-1 they would have been huge favorites to score an equalizer with 30 mins left on the clock.

Considering we could very well have beaten PSG comfortably tonight, I don't see a reason to be so pessimistic?

We didnt lose because we were outplayed. That is reason to be optimistic.

We were largely better than PSG tonight. You can enjoy being negative if it helps you feel better. But we were very good and very fine margins is the difference between us being 2-1 up and them being 1-2 up.

4 pages in 50mins, get out of here with this reactionary stuff. We won 5-0 against them last time OF COURSE we can get a result.

Yes, you can.

It’ll be nervy but I think we’ll just about do it.

Anything can happen this season. Our players need to step up, though. Too many individual errors. Too sloppy in the attacking third.

Think OP was thinking back to Basle 2011 and Wolfsburg 2015 for do or die CL away deciders in group stage. Have I missed any others out?

Play 10-0-0 formation at RB. Refuse to get knocked out and back playing trivia clubs on thursdays in the Europa league. Can't stand that cup. All those games for a cup that isn't even worthy of bragging rights

I genuinely fancy us to win by a couple.

They are a good side but nothing scary (abit like us in fairness) - but we have a bit more.

It really is laughable that we've managed to put ourselves in this position. All we had to do was beat Istanbul. And I cannot believe the bottle job to lose against PSG tonight, the amount of missed chances, Fred throwing the game and Ole encouraging him to throw the game. I don't think any of our rivals could ever lose that game given how the match played out and how the game was there to be won comfortably.

This team are bottlers so I'm expecting us to say hello to Europa.
