Man City fan here. Real fans from all the clubs potentially involved in this do NOT want This to happen. It will end football as we know it. Glad I’m 47 and had a lot of laughs and tears out of the game already. Mate said a funny thing. Half of us are red and half Blue. Mates for 35 years. He said if it goes ahead we may finally get to choose a club like County and all go together as one for the first time in our lives if this move comes off. Match going 32 years for me.my last game was in the away end at OT March 8th I think. It would end my love for the game as I know it’.
You are just projecting. You urself know that youre a sheep, so you think we all are.
Actually, no.
Oh just realized that clubs like PSG or Bayern would be happy with status quo where no one challenges them ever. So they never need to struggle to get into CL spots and all.No, but thats probably only because the Chairman is on UEFA's board
I don't think so, as being English champions must always be the top priority. Only a change that removes clubs from the Premier League would be completely unacceptable for me. The structure of European competitions is secondary, though I agree that any closed shop in Europe would be worthless. If this happens then what’s helge point of us being in the PL?
That’s just a avenue to qualify for the CL so wouldn’t it be pointless to play?
ah right, thanks for both your posts
Thank you Man City. Thank you PSG. Thank you every sad mental gymnast who dismissed the negative impact of their owners on the game as nothing more than bitterness. Their absolutely disgracefully sustained petrodollar business model has rattled every other greedy fuc* running a club these days. Every single governing body and fan who idled by and said nothing while city ruined the Premier league doesn't have a leg to stand on now. Sky Sports moaning about fairness? Tough shit you said nothing when it lined your pockets. Uefa? Likewise.
Needless to say if this wrestlemania shit show goes ahead I'll no longer watch.
Unfortunately football is simply escapeism and entertainment. Everything tribal is PR to make you spend money on your team.I would love it if we said no. Integrity. I don't care about some fake league and I believe it is everything against what football is and was in this country. It is against open competition and have only one purpose. Make money. It has nothing to do with sport. I would love to se declaration of purpose for this league.
I don't watch ManUtd because of what players we sign. I watch because I've been fan for decades and decades. I rather have Phil Bardsley and Peter Crouch playing for us in Premier League then Sancho or Haaland in europa league. If that is the choice.
SuperLeague must be dream for people living in such sport culture (like NHL, NFL and so on) and for the young fans not having long history being supporter.
Well as is apparent, no one is fine with any of it. The cynical side of me agrees with everything you’ve said; the corruption within FIFA and. UEFA has brought us here. And people are fine with this? They’re a fecking cartel. They’re ruining international football as it is with their pointless national league shite. And as I’ve said before - if it’s a choice between earning millions or international football I don’t think FIFA are winning that argument. Then see how the World Cup looks without 200 of the best players around.
Bingo.Oh just realized that clubs like PSG or Bayern would be happy with status quo where no one challenges them ever. So they never need to struggle to get into CL spots and all.

£100, I'll make you that genuine bet today that by the end of the 2024 season, if you haven't watched 2 full games of super league the money is all yours. Put your money where you mouth is. I'll book mark the post and follow all your posts from this point on if you agree

I think this instantly devalues the PL.How about trying to win the PL?

The PL will, they're just pissed off at not getting a cut and dictating the terms like they always.I don’t believe that is accurate as the Premier League have to agree to let them compete, if they don’t (and they won’t) then Utd would have to leave the Premier League in order to take part.
I think the Champions League revamp is something different isn’t it? If Utd were to leave the premier league and champions league I would call it a day after 35 years.
If was a choice of paying to watch a ESL or some shit on BBC.. I’m off doing something else mate.I can imagine it now , we check to see what’s on the tv for the night , Utd at home to Barca or Antiques Roadshow. You’ll be watching it and so will everyone else.
(I’m not saying I agree with this breakaway FYI)
By that logic why do we bother buying players now? For the £5 million CL winners prize? The Glazers have invested more money in the last few years than United have ever had
To be fair it’s always fun watching Arsenal lose...Another thing... Yesterday I watched Newcastle vs West Ham... Because it had stakes at either end. Like feck am I going to watch 16th place Arsenal play 12th place Milan or whatever it'll be, what's the incentive?
The Athletic are saying its a counter proposal for the new restructured CL but the FA won't allow us to compete in it so we'd have to drop out of all domestic competitions to play in it basically. However that won't happen because the FA need us more than we need themHow do you know?
Genuinely asking. I haven’t followed this at all

Firstly I’ve never said I want it. Secondly I’ve stated there needs to be a way for others to get into it. However, let’s not pretend the CL is based on merit. You can’t tell me the winner of the Czech league is a better side than the 5th team in England.
Also the farcical takeover of us, amongst other leaching owners was allowed to happen unimpeded by all the authorities. That's a factor too.Thank you Man City. Thank you PSG. Anyone know where this will be announced then?
It's not, it's the FA that won't let us compete in it and are threatening to ban us from domestic competition if we do.There is all kinds of speculation. Best case scenario, I hope you are right and it ends as a storm in a teacup. Domestic competition must not be touched.
Oil rich or new tech billionaires buying Newcastle is a step too farWe have oil rich nations with horrendous human rights violations and other despicable sht they get up to taking over our clubs and everyone says nothing. In fact all people want is for their club to be next. Most competitions are bought by dodgey money now - see champions league. FIFA and UEFA are corrupt as fk. Basically a mafia organization as described by reporters.
Is anyone really surprised that there will be a European Super League? Next will be oil billionaires buying the likes of Newcastle and then buying their way into the 'Super League'. Hartlepool will be next.

Happy to, I'll buy you all a subscription with my winnings.Feel free to do this with several posters. You should do a signup if you're so convinced we'd all fall in line. You'd make thousands mate.
This reminds me of the scene in Step Brothers where the two lads beg their parents to let them turn their beds into bunk beds, and then blame them for letting them do it when it all goes wrong.
We all knew the Glazers were wrong 'uns right from the start. I honestly wouldn't be shocked to learn them, Kronke and the Liverpool shower had this planned before they ever even bought the clubs.
We all stood by and let it happen, not just the Premier League.
Imagine the domestic leagues without these teams? The whole concept of overseas TV rights goes for a toss right there. The sheer number of lawsuits the domestic leagues will face ?Yeah but they're saying that the PL, La Liga & Serie A will ban the teams from playing in the super league - in which case the teams may threaten to (or actually) leave their domestic leagues in order to play in the super league.
