Is this a serious post?Doubt it will be that strict. The clubs are making the rules... Why would they make rules that will get them in trouble.
Tough considering United are supposedly leading the charge, measures to curb spending would make sense. They'll probably cap transfers at 20m.

Boggles the mind. Ajax should have been one of the first names on that shitty list. Ajax could be a real draw with significant investment. Living in Amsterdam, playing for one of the greatest clubs on earth. How would that not be appealing? I'd picking Ajax over Spurs or Arsenal every day of the week.
Not sure I buy this idea that these games will be boring because they happen every year. Like, Chelsea play United, Liverpool and City every year, sometimes multiple times, and they are still watched in massive numbers.

Nope. Will be when its played in the ESL for me though.
Right now its a game because the winner not only get to beat their worse rival, they also get 3 points towards a league title/champions league spot while at the same time making it harder for the rival to do the same.
I don´t think the Super League could survive in a vacuum. There would not be many matches to watch in the end.
Would be the same in the ESL.... maybe you should read the competition format. The main issue is the entry criteria

I'd just like to ask those in favor one thing: are you ready to fork over a lot of your tax money for stadiums and other facilities like is common in the US? Or are you cool with the good folks of Manchester being on the hook while the owners claim to not have the money for it or threaten to leave the community otherwise if they don't get what they want from the city ? Because that is exactly what happens in the US all the damn time.

Yeah, they can do a full-on relocation and rebrand if they want to, and they can go as far as making everyone forget about the previous team's history whilst operating in their current position. This has already happened in the NBA with the Seattle SuperSonics, a big basketball team that was then relocated to Oklahoma City and rebranded as the Oklahoma City Thunder. Nowadays, ask any relatively new or young NBA fan, and they wouldn't know that OKC was previously the Seattle SuperSonics.

Not necessarily... Depends where the teams are in the mini league when the fixture takes place. They may have both qualified for the knockouts for example.
But its more so the PL matches that will matter less if neither are in a title race.

It was in the press release yesterday, founding members have to agree to a spending framework to gain entry. Seems pretty obvious who that's aimed at to keep them in check.

I agree, but nor could the PL survive without the big clubs which is why I think some kind of compromise will be reached. UEFA threatening to ban clubs or players is not the right way to go about it imo.
