Potter seems to be the most logical option both for him and for Spurs. He'll play nice football to please the fans (since they have no hope for trophies any time soon anyway, especially with Kane leaving) and will probably manage to get more of some of their promising players like Ndombele. They'll still be top 6-8 club at best though. Their fans need to realize their time as a consistent top 4 team is over.
Not all french clubs are skint, the likes of Rennes, Nice or Monaco are perfectly fine particularly without FFP, they all have wealthy owners that have no issue bankrolling them which is particularly true for Nice.

Don't really think they'll want Nuno. Wolves didn't really play good football under him regardless of the result and I think playing football pleasant on the eye will be the most important thing they'll want in the upcoming manager.
My guess would be Ten Hag or Nuno
There is a lack of great, available managers. Tottenham really messed up sacking Pochettino for Mourinho. Although not a top manager, Pochettino and Tottenham was a great partnership.
Imagine if they do hire Roberto Martinez. I think I'd actually cry from laughter.

All that reflects is where people are putting their money. Or losing their money, I expect.
There's no particular reason why any of those wouldn't already be announced, if they were to leave.
Is there a chance they are trying to sign Emery? That would at least explain why they haven't announced anyone yet, despite looking for over a month and the season being over for everyone else. Or maybe someone who coaches the Euros?

I think it's plausible, but I'm not sure whether he's ready to say Good Ebening to London again - he's only just repaired the damage that lot did to his career.
The cheeseroom might convince him, though.
He seems at the right place at Villareal, why would he come back to England where he was ridiculed ? He needs to over-communicate what he wants but his english was not good enough to do that.
They were but allegedly he spoke to them and then promptly extended his contract at Ajax. I think they are finding that the job is not as attractive as they thought it would be and most decent managers will want to wait and see what develops with Kane.

They already asked around and Ten Hag turned them down and signed new Ajax contract this spring.
Can't realistically achieve anything bigger than an EL (final) at Villareal, might want to prove something, probably better wages and better chances to earn himself another step up the ladder.
They should be looking at three BL coaches:
- Fischer: achieved incredible things at Union on a shoestring budget.
- Svensson from Mainz. Turned Mainz around and they were so good at playing against the good teams. Also overachieved based on the resources, something you’d want at Spurs.
- Riskiest, Terzi: Saved BVBs season and there seems to be something there. I don’t know if he would rather stay in and be part of Rose’s staff.
He won't be able to achieve anything bigger than this with Spurs as well.
From the outside they look a mess of a club right now, what they should have done is given Poch the money to rebuild what was a squad at the end of it's cycle, what they did was turn to a short term fix of a manager to squeeze the last bit out of that squad. Now they've no manager (and no outstanding candidates out there) and a squad in needs of a massive rebuild

Svensson has coached half a season of relegation battle. Urs Fischer has done really well with one of the biggest underdogs of the league, but Spurs would be an entirely different beast. Terzic - as unproven as he still is - would actually be the most reasonable, because he has (eventually) succeeded in a high pressure scenario, he did well in the CL and he's won some silverware in the domestic cup.
Hütter, Rose and Marsch were the logical choices on the German market, but they have signed elsewhere now.

Put a tenner on Potter, not too sure it would happen but feel it would be a good choice for all parties. Also Martinez has some knack of getting top jobs without really doing much

They should pick carefully - I'd rather stick with Ryan Mason than any of the names mentioned so far (apart from that French guy from Lille - he could be a good pick, especially if they focus on recruiting a few French players as well.)

Don’t see how that would happen. If Southgate wins the Euros then he won’t go to Spurs and if he does poor with England I feel he be a disaster at Spurs.
I think he’s a woeful manager. It’s only my opinion but England have one of best squads in the world up there with France, yet even though they got to the semi of the WC they were awful against Tunisia, lost to Belgium twice, scrapped past Columbia and went out to Croatia.
When I look at England, Southgate is the weak link
Obviously, Southgate is a poor manager, but Levy made already that disaster move with Mourinho , so who knows.

I know the Dortmund experience didn't go well in the end but I actually think off radar appointment that may work would be Favre as he's tended to do good work with likes of Nice and 'gladbach in the past and that's probably the level Spurs will be around next season and need to be built up again
Yeah some of these suggestions feel a bit like Moyes to United, but I see them a bit more like Potter, but more impressive IMO, and Potter seems to be a name that is mentioned quite a bit.

In general yes... but not sure he would be good for Spurs in this situation. Spurs are a bit in a Situation line Arsenal - just a good manager won't cut it for them.
I feel that they need someone who will specifically fit in their situation. They might lose out on top 6 next season,again, if the transfer window does not go their way - even with a good manager.
Martinez seems a strange one.
Potter seems a great option for them. Maybe a year or so early as I think ideally they'd want to see how he pushes Brighton on from this progressive style towards being a more ruthless side that gets higher up the table. But in terms of potential, getting more out of players and a style it looks good.
