For me majority is the winning party. Even by 51% they're majority. That's just how Democracy works.
If the anti LGBT rules pass, then that's the will of the majority.

Would have been better for me to put it as ‘minority majority’ as it is a specific phenomenon.
Over 70% of the populace want LGBTQ+ rights.
Less than half the country are Republican.

This is hardly the will of the majority. This is a flawed process becoming more flawed.

Serious question. Where do you get the 70 percent of American from?
If it's true 70 percent then your democracy is wrong. How can a free and pure democracy allow things like this to happen, not once but almost all the time.

not sure why you think this. For example, I saw a story this week gay marriage is polling at 70% positive, including, for the first time, a majority of republicans.

that’s just not how things work in the us unfortunately. For example, my state, WI, votes about 51-53% dem in statewide elections. However, our state legislature is 63% republican. This is the definition of minority rule and is 100% due to the gerrymandering of state congressional districts by republicans. Since that keeps them in power they will never change them to be fair, and so a smaller and smaller percentage of Wisconsinites will “rule” via the state legislature as the state shifts more and more dem.

move that decimal point one spot to the right and you have most of our tax rates one property and state taxes are thrown in.
So any winning party is a majority, and anything they do is democracy? That's so simplistic that it's practically useless.

Don't forget that BR buying 30% above list will cause a reevaluation of property values for those house AND surrounding houses, which means property taxes will jump quite a bit, at least for the non BR houses.... I have a sneaking suspicion they may have a word in the ear of the assessor.

Definitely not what I was taught in school in SoCal. I think we spent 10 minutes on the Mexican American war in AP History and probably 30 seconds on slavery.
The only thing I can vaguely recall going against the norm was mention of the current location is not the original location, but cannot recall if anyone knew for sure, or was a rumor, or myth, or what. I believe it's been confirmed since that the original location is not where the current museum is, or perhaps like very close as much of the old fort was destroyed over the years.
But it was repeatedly told to us it was heroic Americans fighting an invasive, foreign army. Certainly do not recall any Mexicans or Tejanos being on the "good" side in our books and lectures.

I can guarantee you that this book, which I remember checking out from my grade school library, did not do so either.
Edit: Looking back I feel all of those Landmark "History" books were straight out (white??) nationalist propaganda
