GB News; UK Right Leaning 24 Hour 'News' Channel

Dan Wootton and Alan Sugar, kill me now.

Although actually Sugar's just said 'as a former Sun man you'll know there's no news, only lies in the paper' then Wootton through gritted teeth had to go 'oh no Lord Sugar that's unfair!'

It looks very grim though. I liked Neil for the most part when he had his BBC hat on; his interviews were even-handed and floored a great many MPs over the years, but when it comes down to it he's a right-winger whose instinct is to stick staunchly to the Murdoch playbook.

Wootton, Carole Malone, Neil Oliver and another fella on a Media Buzz moaning about cancel culture. Wootton 'will probably be canceled' for saying Chinese wet markets are 'disgusting'. I bet you won't be Dan, and more's the pity. It literally is a load of people hanging around saying 'you can't say [insert cheap gag about somebody's heritage] any more or you'll offend a [insert minority]!'.

'Why is Allison Pearson convinced the Wuhan Lab Leak theory is right?'. I'll give it another chance during primetime but Dan Wootton's post-10pm stuff looks every bit as cranky, desperate and pathetic and I'd feared it would.

They've got their own channel and yet they're still complaining that they're being silenced.

Looks absolute shite. I thought GMB was bad but ffs!
I’m going back to Garden Reecue

Perhaps some of that was down to the campagining to stop GB news from ever existing before they had a single show. But anyway I agree it's stupid.

looked like a whiney right-wing snowflake news channel.

Kirsty Gallagher though

This is some scary shit, got some serious V for Vendetta vibes watching that Andrew Neil monologue.

Yeah. This type of opinion based news is not good. I've watched Fox and News Max (which is truly terrifying) and now Britain is getting it's very own brand of it. Dark times for Britain I think.

Its not scary, its laughable.

More what I was thinking. I guess the scare is it will make all the dummies in England more right wing than they are already.

Is it really all that different to what’s currently out there? At least they have the decency to not pretend that they’re just playing devils advocate and are completely objective like the others do.

Just in case Mr "we are not the elites" Neil forgets he is a member of the rather exclusive Marylebone Cricket Club and was the editor of the Sunday Times and had a regular spot on BBC for the best part of a decade.

Seems everyone on the panel is, well, part of the "metropolitan elite".

That is the point, you are right.
There has to be an appetite for this kind of thing. I can only hope that they are preaching to the already converted.
But I am sure that the kind of sensationalism will appeal to many more.
At least it may stop some buying the dreaded DM.

The show might go bankrupt if they don't up their quality. I don't live in Britain so I can only watch what they share on Twitter, but what i've seen so far is very underwhelming.

Red, flabby, drooping face, angry tirade of drivel - perfect for Gammon BS news.

Gammon is his race. He cant help being anyone but who he is.

The fact its just a bunch of old whiny people calms me.

If they had more youth, charisma and some vibrancy I would be concerned but this just looks hilariously sad.

Gammon is his race. He cant help being anyone but who he is.

Gammon is a state of mind, it is not a race. Fergie is red faced, with droopy cheeks and goes on tirades but i love him like a grandad figure.

Yes. It's very different.

I fecking well hope so but the level of idiocy and small mindedness in Britain currently makes me think this will take the population like a duck to water.

I was just referencing this tweet for fun.

And this was all because Andrew Neil got 'pee'd off' that his 'This Week' pride and joy was taken off by the BBC after 16 years.

This should be fun... but revenge is a dished best served cold Andrew...not with the 'syncing errors' that plagued the first broadcast.

Look at the US and the impact that Fox News and more recently OANN have on huge portions of the population. This is the beginning of the same here, and we’ve seen in recent years there’s plenty of people dumb enough to eat it up.
