What get's me, is if Levy is playing the long game and will sell him to City once they offer stupid money, then they will also have give City a player relatively fit to play for City pretty quickly.

He will stay. I think Levy will just refuse any attempt at talks. Kane has 3 years left, there is nothing he can do really. He wont hand in a Transfer request IMO, or he'd have at least publicly asked to go City. City should have thrown £130m or so at them earlier in the window to test Levy, then go from there. They've left it too late, i think Kane to City is dead.
Modric claimed a similar agreement with Levy when we wanted him, [he could leave if a top 4 club bid] and the scenario is playing out the same. Modric was missing training, refusing to go on pre season tours, missing matches because he wasnt in right frame of mind; and Levy still refused to sell. And Modric even publicly had interviews saying "i want to join chelsea". Levy refused due to him having X amount of years left. This Kane saga is heading the same way.

Exactly my thinking. City should have signed Kane first then Grealish IMO. Grealish was not needed. Kane was. And by paying 100 for grealish, then id be asking 150 for kane, easily
whoever spurs try replace kane with, the buying club knows they have cash, so will fleece them. Its just too late now. City fans thinking its happening will end up disappointed IMO

Kane wont throw his toys out of the pram tbh. He'll just knuckle down and carry on as normal. But if they miss top 4 again, i do think he goes next summer; if similar money is offered. I also dont believe he purposely skipped training, i'd bet it was pre discussed and media made a whole deal out of it.
It's not as if Levy has previous for going back on gentleman's agreement. Berbatov, Modric, Bale all thought so too. EBHK (England's Brave Harry Kane), what a prick. Or he's a wizard.
Modric came back and played his heart out for Spurs and left to Madrid the next year. It's never in Kane's best interest to sulk for an entire year. If Man City doesn't meet Levy's evaluation, then he won't sell Kane. Then after some grovelling, Kane will play for Spurs as Kane wouldn't want to miss a year and Spurs would benefit from having Keane.
You think Kane and Spurs pre discussed about missing the training to get the media to talk about it? Pass me the mushrooms, I would love to have some.
I don't know the detail about the "gentleman agreement/promise" between Levy and Modric/Kane, and why this happened again on Levy, but this doesn't look good to me to be honest. The players and their agents should take the same amount of blame on this as well though. I am sure agents learnt their lessons and will protect their clients better with either shorter contract like Depay's 2 year deal with Barca, or Haaland's release clause with BVB.

No. I think Spurs knew he wasnt in that day, and there was no story, but the media made one out of it anyway. So he did not "fail to report" or "skip training"
Press were reporting about a full 5 days before his planned date of return. Kane is pissing in the wind about miscommunication. It wasn't as if the press decided to check on a particular date if Kane was supposed to be at the Spurs training. They were writing at least for a week about Kane's return date and if he would show up as he spent time in Florida and Bahamas.
If Bernardo Silva is willing to go to Spurs then they should take £125m + Silva for Kane.
I think that would just turn the media and fans against the club.

Both Silva and Laporte want moves to spain, but wont happen this summer so i cant see either going to spurs.

Because at the moment a lot of this can be put down to media bollocks. As soon as Kane puts in the transfer request, the fans will be al over him. Then if the transfer falls through, well you know the rest.
Plus he wants to come accross as the good guy, Mr England, mr professional. Mr 'I never wanted to leave, it was all media bollocks' if his transfer falls through, etc.
I highly doubt putting in a transfer request has any effect at all other than losing the loyalty bonus. Mahrez handed in his back in Leicester and it didn't help. The reality is he signed a 6 year contract, if Levy can't agree a fee with city, he will stay.
Loyalty bonuses are generally triggered by still being at the club when the summer window closes. If you leave before that point you don’t get it, regardless of whether the transfer was initiated by the player or the club.
I seem to remember there was a lot of talk about Kane going before he signed his contract. It is pretty stupid to expect a player of that calibre to be happy playing in the conference league for a club known for chopping managers and taking forever in rebuilding. He'd be wasting his years, as he arguably already has been. I'm sure he wouldn't have signed a contract back then if he wasn't persuaded by 'projects', trophies and similar. I seem to remember he wanted out before Mourinho came, but obviously stuck around. He has been convinced and almost tricked to stick around in good faith, with nothing to show for it. Obviously the club will do everything they can to ruin his rep if he goes, simply because the narrative that a player was too good for them would put Spurs in a bad light and questions would be asked of the owner on why that is.

You never see a top club act like that, you never see United spread a bad word about Ronaldo after he left and shit like that. He’ll go. What’s going to happen is Levy will negotiate and get 128 million. This will all be done on deadline day so he doesn’t have to reinvest it into the squad because there will be no time left.

We need this deal to go through, because then we are only battling Bayern for Haaland, and he has already come out and said he want to experience a different league.
Spurs will could rightly tell City if Grealish is a £100m player then the England captain, with his scoring record, is worth £200m.
End of the day money is king. If city go ahead and offer what Levy would accept, this deal will get done. I’m still praying the deal goes through otherwise city will definitely be in for Haaland next summer and that’s bad news.

It doesnt matter. If Kane’s goal production goes down, people will blame Levy.
I do think Kane case is slightly difference. Over the years he has given his all for Spur, spending 8 seasons there and scored over 221 goals. I do think this counts for something. Spur should let him go for reasonable fee and not to price him out of the market, maybe say around 120m
