La liga 2021/22

This De Jong and Memphis partnership is great for our national team. Now they should buy De Ligt too. Just make Barca the training ground for Oranje. They're always whinging about wanting to be more than a club anyway.

You need to start rooting for Barca first

Bad match in general of Barcelona, many mistakes in passes and easy controls, also errors in decision making.
Araujo is Barcelona's best centre-back for a long time, Emerson seems to me much more player than Dest, smarter on every play.
Excited about Gavi and Nico and waiting for all the injured.

Bad second half by Barcelona but at least they didn't concede. An improvement over 19-21.

They sorely missed Pedri on MF today. Griezmann,on the other hand, plays like an aloof twat. A non-leader if I ever saw one.

If they build the team around Araujo-García-De Jong-Pedri-Depay plus the return of Dembele and Fati (and Kun as a super-sub) they will be on the title race till the end.

The fact that Depay is comfortably outperforming Griezmann is damning. I thought Messi going will reignite him, no trace of that so far.

It really is "Ronaldo & Tevez -> Owen, Valencia & Obertan".

My prediction after Messi were
1) Atletico Madrid
2) Real Madrid
3) Sevilla
4) Barcelona

Villarreal, Real Sociedad and maybe Real Betis must challenge Barca for a CL spot.

When Barcelona started last La Liga season badly there were murmurs that they will struggle to make top 4, then they picked up form and lost the league in the last couple of games and all these supposed "challengers" ended up expectedly nearly 20 points below. Wouldn't be in the least surprised with the same outcome this season, outside top 4 from the last season I'd be amazed if any club cracks 65 points, or maybe 70 as the best case scenario.

I haven't predicted that.

But no Messi, now no Griezmann and Fati/Aguero/Dembele are injured.

Koeman isn't good enough (Better than Solskjaer) for the big trophies.

The Madrid clubs should end the season before Barca on the paper.

But of course the other clubs must take their chances now and not lose there like Real Sociedad.....this is their big chance now to get in the top 4 in the next couple of seasons......because Barca will be back.

Apparently Madrid had agreed with Rayo the loan of Mariano, but it was impossible to convince him. What a parasite.
Other times he also refused to leave due to losing money, but this time it was not the case. It doesn't matter to him to play or not to play.

Sounds like Umtiti

Yes, It´s the same. I do not know if now it is advertised more with social networks and comments from each other but I would swear that years ago players did not cling to contracts in such an exaggerated way

Madrid teams are clearly favorites to end up in front of Barcelona, Sevilla probably aren't favorites but could surprise for sure. Villareal/Sociedad/Valencia though quality wise stack up pretty poorly even in comparison with this weakened Barcelona IMO. It's football at the end of the day obviously, but barring some sort of an awful collapse I think Barca will end up comfortably 4th at worst.

To me...

Tier1: Real/Atletico
Tier2: Barça/Sevilla
Tier3: Villarreal/Real Sociedad/...

Barça has a decent starting 11 (if healthy... haha), but there is a big difference with the bench. Barça options will depend on wether Ansu/Dembele come back at good level and how some youngsters perform (Nico/Gavi...).

I think we will not fight for the title until the but I think we should make top 4 without many difficulties.

That's quite a hefty fee for Griezmann. Did he take a pay cut to go back to Aleti or are Barca subsidizing his wages?
Also why is the La Liga thread stickied? :)

It is like that every year. And rightfully so. The only question is, why the other 3 top leagues don’t have a sticky thread..?

What the general opinion on Yusuf Demir and how will he do at Barca this year?
At the preseason he looked really great but at few minutes he got in LaLiga he looked lost and nervous.
Waiting to see him and Fati on the wings.

Ceballos on loan to Betis from january. 18 months loan + mandatory purchase option 15/20 m€.
The source is a bit meh but since is not Mbappe I don't think nobody really cares

What is the reason for Sevilla vs Barca being postponed? The usual La Liga shenanigans to give their teams more rest before important CL fixtures?

Is this a joke buddy? These teams are effed going straight from international break into a CL match. Every single Barca and Sevilla would love a match before CL.

The 2021-22 La Liga game between Barcelona and Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium was postponed by the High Council for Sports (CSD). Since the match clashed with the South American World Cup Qualifiers 2022, La Liga petitioned for the game to be rescheduled. The CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers' final matches will take place on Friday afternoon in South America, meaning La Liga players will not be able to participate this weekend due to the international break.

No reason to get worked up. It has certainly happened in the past that games got moved before CL ties. What about the other games today? I assume they have no players in the CONMEBOL?
Anyways, thank you for the info.
