Same.3 Place grid drop for Max, think it deserved a 5 place drop really.

i think he should have had the tip of his pinky cut off.

a bee in his bonnet about what? he is a decent bloke who has driven F1 and has an opinion. In racing maybe not, in the scheme of f1 he drove for force India for a few years. He’s got a bee in his bonnet imo
What’s him being a decent bloke got to do with anything, I never said otherwise.a bee in his bonnet about what? he is a decent bloke who has driven F1 and has an opinion.

bit confused why Mercedes pitted Hamilton on lap 26. Surely on the hards he could have ran longer then been very strong at the end.
would 27 laps on the mediums not been pushing it a bit?
Max's 11 second pitstop pretty much forced their hand as they should have got out clear of Max if they didn't have a poor pitstop too.bit confused why Mercedes pitted Hamilton on lap 26. Surely on the hards he could have ran longer then been very strong at the end.

That was ridiculous, in real time I could not believe I could still see his rear wheels spinningHe kept on accelerating too whilst his car's nose was in the sand. Video in last page, madness.
That suprised me as well. You would have thought they would go long +10 laps to give lewis fresher tyres after his stop to challenge those in front of him.bit confused why Mercedes pitted Hamilton on lap 26. Surely on the hards he could have ran longer then been very strong at the end.

How big a penalty is an engine? I thought it was only 10 places. If so wouldn't that mean he would have a 13 place penalty?Interesting they went with a penalty, similar to Silverstone but worse for Red Bull as they can’t apply a time penalty. The point that other drivers avoided similar crashes by taking to the escape road/bumps including his team mate probably swung it. Almost certain that he takes the new engine then surely? I can’t remember how Russia is for overtaking though.

Actually not sure if you are being serious about this.. a fecking car landed on top of him. The lack of humanity from people is hilarious
Interesting. He does seem to oppose Hamilton on most issues. What’s him being a decent bloke got to do with anything, I never said otherwise.
I think he was wrong talking about this and glad hill pulled him up on it or disagreed with him
have a google of Paul di resta Hamilton.
Thought it was back of the grid, with the other stuff they have to chance, Bottas and Gasley today were back of the grid. How big a penalty is an engine? I thought it was only 10 places. If so wouldn't that mean he would have a 13 place penalty?
That would be giving a good lead in the championship to Lewis and as they were saying some of the remaining races might be cancelled.Yes, but they may go for more components. From memory Russia has low tyre wear so they could make up a good points finish given the strength of the car on a one-stop.
Ah, this must be a still image from Max's helmet cam?
How many laps did Max do on the medium tyre? I thing it was plausible to get around on a set of mediums.i get that, but surely 27 laps on the mediums was pushing it.
Had he gone another 6-7 laps he would have had a big advantage on fresh mediums.
Bottas was flying on the mediums until they went off.

They are the worst of the big boys and the 2 boys are holding there own, next year should be interesting, with there new power unit and chassis, with Ferrari basically saying feck this year putting everything into next season, hopefully they will be able to compete next year and the Hammerheads and Maxists will have the Tifosi coming at themAnyone else think Leclerc & Sainz are seriously doing an amazing job in that awful Ferrari? Put either of those two in a Merc/Red Bull they’d be in the title fight.

I've been called out by a couple of salty fanboys who apparently can't argue a point to save their lives.
Genuinely dude, there's a lot of interesting aspects to debate about this race but you and a couple of others are focussing on some bizarre moral grandstanding argument based on false premises. It's a bit pitiable and very tedious.
They could have. I just think they expected to come out in the lead and it proved hard to overtake at the front of the race.they were all struggling on the mediums come the end...... around 24 laps i would say.
I just thought with Mercedes starting on the hards they could have gone 30-32 laps and had a big advantage on the mediums till the end.
