Not on TV eh? Sorry PC, looks like we’re going to war with the pop ups again.

Should be quite an open game so should be pretty exciting. Is a clean sheet too much to hope for?

Think this will be a proper tough game, Villa we’re really good against Chelsea the other week, even though they lost 3-0 I think they were arguably the better team especially in the first half.

I would like to see McTominay in a holding midfield position with Bruno and pogba and Sancho on the left though I suspect it’ll be McFred with Pogba on the left.

Taking my 9 year old to this game. His first proper game after going to a Friendly when he was about 4, and the Everton friendly pre season.

I'd resigned myself to none of my kids liking football, as my eldest isn't interested in it at all despite me trying to drill it into him as a baby and toddler. My 9 year old up until about 6 months ago had no interest, but now since discovering he can play a little bit at school, he's bang into it.
Hook him on FIFA games, that hooked me back in 2001 at least

So after getting fecked over by Atkinson and Moss, let me present the final form of the not so holy trinity:

Don’t think it has been announced right

A must win game this one along with Everton next week. After that we have Leicester, Pool, Spurs and City where we are bound to drop bucket full of points. Seems tough

Especially because Chelsea and City play each other and here is a chance to take advantage of points drop, to further our gap ahead of City or inch ahead of Chelsea.

Weird to have an early Saturday kick-off and not be on TV, isn't it? Can't remember that happening too often recently. I saw it was a 12:30 kick-off and just automatically assumed it would be televised.

There's a Huge gig at cricket ground next door which I'm going to. Courteeners, Johnny Marr and Blossoms. That's why the game has been moved to early slot.

Dalot should start. He’ll be playing against Villarreal and needs game time.

    De Gea
    Dalot - Varane - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay - Pogba
    Mason - Bruno - Sancho
    Ronaldo

I would love this, especially being at home. Dalot showed against West Ham he offers more going forward than AWB so should get a run out from time to time.
A few consecutive games would be great for him, then bring back AWB after his suspension.

Also being at home let them worry about our front 6 with McTom holding, he has the mobility, engine and ability to do it.
Sancho needs home games to gain confidence, I saw a few flashes against West Ham in the league cup.

I feel Solskjaer is going to go with McFred with Pogba on the left.

    Back four is nailed on.
Pogba will play at LW and Sancho benched.

McFred will play, I don't think he'll go with Matic, even though he did ok against West Ham. DvB didn't take his chance and won't be anywhere near this line up.

    Rest picks itself

    Agreed.

We're moving our game for that lot!

only joking; I'm a big fan of Johnny Marr. Less so the others...

Wonder why I bother paying Sky and BT a kings ransom every month if I'm still scraping the interwebs for dodgy streams.

    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka
    Varane
    Maguire
    Shaw
    McTominay
    Pogba
    Greenwood
    Fernandes
    Sancho
    Ronaldo

Think we will have another slightly hairy one but will outscore them.

I though the whole point of a lunchtime kick off was so that they could show more games on TV?

Otherwise, put it on at 3pm.
There’s a concert at the cricket ground in the evening so GMP asked for it to be moved to lunchtime, where the Tv slot is already held by Chelsea - Man City

It's people like you man, who are not letting us watch this game. :nono:

Is the game on tv? It’s on at 12.30 but BT is saying the city game? If we’re not on tele why not 3pm? Ta

I'm surprised you want us to win, actually. You don't seem to like anyone or anything about the club.
What gives you that idea? Because I don’t think Ole is the man to take us where we need to go? We’re not Ole Gunnar Solskjær FC you know. He’s a replaceable employee.

It will be on a dodgy stream somewhere. Always is. Also there's more to life than United. I love Music too and all three are local bands to Manchester area.

You'd change all of our players too. You don't like any of them either.
I rate several of our players. In fact the only starters I would replace would be Wan-Bissaka, Fred & Mctominay.

Everyone is apart from the owners.
The owners are also replaceable. Nothing is forever except the club.

Don't want to jinx it but I really don't see anything but a win for us.

never even heard of them - and surely a 3pm start wouldn't clash. Game over by 5 - what gig starts before that?

yay - Cavani is avaialable. really hope he gets some game time: would love to see him and ronaldo together - defenders wouldn't know where the hell to look!

Well keep believing that. But the club is about the people, about what else should it be.
Your original example doesn’t apply here. We are not talking about owners who have found the club / company or who invest their own money.
The replaceable employees - players, manager, staff - have done much more for United than the owners, so together with the fans they “make/are” the club much more than our owners could ever be.

Nope, you moan forever about basically everyone, Rashford, Maguire, Henderson, Bruno.

The only players you seem to like regardless of their form or performances are Pogba and Martial.

    Ronaldo Cavani
    Sancho Pogba McT Greenwood
    Shaw Maguire Varane AWB
    DDG

    Do it Ole!

Expect Cavani and Sancho will be on the bench. Not a bad pair to bring on.

What is with people putting Cavani in our starting lineup. He's an impact sub, we won't start playing 2 strikers all of a sudden.
