Roman looks thrilled.
Cheap penalties are the way to go.Lukaku taken out. Where are the goals gonna come form now?
Even more so. He’s terrible.Still think so?![]()
So that wasn’t handball?Even more so. He’s terrible.
Most teams play these so called 'wonderful' teams during pre season games, as they are usually a complete non entity of a game.As someone whose team is **ahem** as of this moment still the sitting Club World Champion
I can only tell you to enjoy!
For me these games were always (I say always as if it's a regular occurence and did not just happen twice!) wonderful, feel-good occasions, for the following reasons:
1) At the latest by November, the fact that you won the Champions League has faded from the system, the new season is a grind, it's unkown what it will bring, and everyone is focused on the week-to-week, only interrupted by obnoxious international breaks
2) At the same time, because of its insignificance to anyone but the participants, the CWC tournament is not on anyone's radar at all. It only enters the horizon at some point, first merely as a perceived nuisance in the league calendar - fans wonder "Eh? What is this? Why are these league games being postponed?"
3) Then you realize that you are, in fact, playing the Club World Cup, because you are actually the reigning Club Champion of Europe! What a great thing to remember!
4) and then, the tournament is just a wonderful thing. It's actually involving the whole globe! The winner is officially the best club in the world! And when else do you actually get to play these wonderful teams, from Africa, from South America, Asia, from Cairo, Casablanca, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, what have you, in a somewhat competitive setting?
It's something special. You earned it for yourselves, like a nice holiday after a hard year of work.

When was the last time a non European team won this competition?
It's a complete non entity of a competition and needs to be scrapped in my opinion.
Chelsea are the only European team to not win this in the last 15 years.
Super Cup - Yep
World Cup - Yep
League Cup
FA Cup
Champions League
Premier League
That's the double won. The Sextuple awaits.
World and European but not English Champions
That's Brexitism. We're the world.World and European but not Domestic Champions
Corinthians defeated Chelsea in 2012. Before that Liverpool 2005 and Barça 2006 lost their finals too. When was the last time a non European team won this competition?
Exactly,Chelsea are the only European team to not win this in the last 15 years.
Thank you.Corinthians defeated Chelsea in 2012. Before that Liverpool 2005 and Barça 2006 lost their finals too.
Since 2012 European clubs have won all editions.
Havertz starting to build a Drogba-like reputation as decider of big finals? Wouldn't mind if that keeps going.
Useless competition. South America have won 1 out of the last 15.
I totally agreeSay what about chelsea, they are run in a much better way than our club. Roman cares about the club and for him present is more important than past nostalgia. Credit to chelsea.
Since 1992 (the inaugural season of the Premier League) no non-Premier League team has won the FA Cup. The last time a non top flight team won it was WH in 1980.
Maybe the FA Cup is a useless competition.
