Mauricio Amadaeus Pochettino | Chelsea sack watch

Mbappé is outperforming both his xpG and xpA so far this season both in L1 and in the CL. He isn't scoring and assisting more because the appalling PSG general play does not allow him to have more opportunities to score or assist.
You must not watch psg often because he has had many chances. You can even check the Messi is so unlucky at psg video to see how fans would criticism their players for not putting their chances away. Even poch critics Even admitted that earlier in this thread. Not sure, why I responded to a newbie, but such misinformation is toxic in this forum.

Anyway, big game today for Pochettino. A early champion league final for him. Most team would have struggle to beat this real Madrid side, but this is poch who already showed that he can be beat the best in Europe as we saw in his last year run to the champion league semi finals. Even though neymar, Ramos, wiljinaldum and gueye isn't fully fit, they have trained so Pochettino can have a fully fit squad in the second leg

Another argument people keep bringing up is that poch lost the league last season, when in reality, tuchel was the one that lost the league. Stats shows that when poch took over, psg had better result and they even made it as far as the champion league semi finals, knocking out numerous European elite. I agree with your perplexity towards the logic of how redcafe members select manager. Ole was so popular on here it was crazy that only a few saw how bad he really was. Even though I rate ten hag, he hasn't shown that he is able to manage players with big ego yet. Ajax is not a place that you can really judge his managerial capabilities because so many managers that did well over there failed when they transitioned to another league. What I like about ten hag though is that he learned under pep, so just like Arteta, he has a good mentor and insight towards how football is supposed to be played. Still skeptical about whether he can make a successful transition into a proper league, but out of all the manager Ajax has produced in recent memories, he seems like the one that might make it. He definitely not as accomplished as poch nor should he be looked as superior, but that is the Cafe members logic on here to think that.

It's bit of a stretch to level that charge at Tuchel's door when Poch had 21 games make up a 1 point gap to the league leaders and failed.

The lille side barely dropped any points and still poch had better results than tuchel. It wasn't a stretch. It doesn't matter how many game a team had if the team above them is having a good season

If Lille barely dropped any points, then how Tuchel to blame? You're absolving Poch as if Tuchel didn't face the same opposition as him. Pochard had over half a season to overcome a 1 point deficit. It's okay to admit Poch should have done better.

Because his result was not significantly better than poch. It is not that hard to comprehend. People put blame on Pochettino, but when poch took over his result was better than tuchel. We already had this discussion in this thread. Not sure why I am bothering repeating it

This is what cost Pochettino the title.

PSG lost 2 consecutive home games for the first time since 2012. And the second of these was a loss to Nantes. A team that had not won in Paris for 20 odd years.

Since Poch arrived at PSG, Lille dropped 16 points in the 21 games. Same as PSG. However, if we look at the league table since Poch joined them, your dad finished behind Monaco by 4 points

It doesn't really matter whether his results were better than Tuchel. I don't care enough to check if you're right but I'm not the one trying to lay the blame squarely at one manager when Tuchel and Poch had roughly half a season each and both ended their portion of the season 1 point behind Lille.

So many chances, brilliant tactical performances my psg. They kept going on even if they missed so many chances. Should have been 4-0. Finishing will be their downfall in winning the champion league. Now we see why Pochettino is so wanted. Real Madrid barely had a chance at their goal. They might have played without a keeper. Brilliant pressing and possession

The hate for Pochettino is so strong on this forum  or people are just scared that I will be right again . How is it quiet on how when United board was keeping a close eye on this game and saw how they battered real Madrid. Our board must be really impressed after that performance. The problem now, is that it makes it harder to get him

I like Poch and all but your posts just make people want to dislike him. That's how shit your posts are.

They absolutely dominated Madrid, should've won much earlier and more comfortably.

Probably because United were playing and people were watching that rather than being weird stans for a manager?

I do find the hate for him on here a bit weird. I'm not convinced he'll be a success if he came here but i'd ok giving him a chance if the Ajax manager isn't available. It's not as if we have many other options do we.

As an aside, he's handsome, got great hair and he's Argentinian...what's not to like????

Great tactical game from Pochettino and the team. 1st game we've actually controled in 8 months or so, it felt pretty good.

It sort of balances all the disingenuous takes on Poch though. Given the sheer amount of posters who want to pretend Poch is shit(because they've all drunk the Ten Hag cool aid despite probably not having watched much about the guy), I'd say let nature balance things out.

One extreme poster vs an entire horde on the other side seems fair to me.

Champion league football or game against Brighton. I switched between both, but seeing us perform, it was hard to keep watching. Especially when our potential future manager was playing on another channels

 horde is a great phrase. I will gladly took on these horde alone

Nah. Had PSG lost and been battered, this place would have been much more active.

Didn't watch due to United but that's great to hear.

I really only open this thread to read @Amadaeus posts which I can't work out whether they're genuine or some form of ingenious aversion therapy he's subtly exercising on the rest of the Caf.

The performance was brilliant by psg today. If they were more clinical, the tie would have been over today. I didn't want them to perform that well, now things have gotten complicated in our pursuit.

Parody or not, keep up the good work man, you make this thread interesting!

I would wager that if that game ended at 90+3 mins, there'd be completely different agendas being pushed here .

Nothing is ever shades of grey in the 'caf.

I notice there hasn’t been a response to this post. Almost like someone in this thread doesn’t like to respond to facts but just keep on posting shite.

Exactly this. It’s constant WUMing.
Tbf if it is you have to have enormous respect for the single-mindedness of the vision, the dedication to its execution and also the randomness of the idea behind it. It has a weird kind of genius to it. That's all assuming it's a WUM of course.

Pochettino still had better result than tuchel, look at the previous post on this topic. I am not going to waste my time on it. @TheGame you add nothing to this discussion.

Sorry but I don’t have any of that. It’s constant shite posting and adds nothing to the discussion. It’s obvious what is going on and I’m surprised it’s allowed to go on.

Fair play. But if you know it's a wum, why do you still get drawn in?!

Despite the scoreline, the stats look VERY one-sided. I’ve always felt that Poch needs to pull it off in the Champions League to pull the majority of Utd fans away from Erik ten Hag. I will be impressed if he knocks out City or Liverpool if PSG progress to later rounds.

You claimed it wasn’t his fault he lost the league yet the post above proves you wrong. Poch should have won the league but he didn’t. It was his fault.
The post doesn't prove me wrong. When tuchel drop as much point as poch did, how can you blame one manager and not the other? In fact, as stated poch gotten better result when he took over. All it takes is for you to look back into this thread where we had the same discussion before.
