    Because he's the better player
ihe might be a better defender, giving more freedom and security with elanga playing right wing. However I would not say he is a better player overall, and playing against a watford i would player the more attacking fullback.

The lineup is meh, but the midfield should be enough to dominate the game fully. Good CB pairing. Need Ronaldo and Elanga to take the chances that come their way for sure though. We don't really have anyone who can move with the ball at their feet properly apart from Pogba, and he does it from deeper positions.

Pogba will be playing higher up the pitch looking at the team though

Like the line up, Matic will offer a bit of stability till he gets tired in second half, Lindelof deserves to start over Maguire likewise Telles over Shaw.

shame for Dalot, thought he had done enough to get in over AWB unless Ralf just wants to try him again to see if he’s learnt anything in training and hopefully Sancho is just rested whilst wanting the extra midfielder in their.

Good to see Elanga start, deserved based on performances and contributions.

Probably a 4222, Elanga alongside Ronaldo to help in the pressing plan if any.

Not an easy game, because we never make it easy for ourselves.

Time to help a relegation team again I think.

Pogba and Matic together is always fun.

Wow, that's an awesome line up! The only issue is AWB for Dalot. Why has Dalot fallen out of favor so suddenly? I think he had just started to find his mojo and now he is back to square one again. AWB offers next to nothing in attack.

There a rumor that the player this article is about is Dalot, hence why he was dropped at Leeds. It's the Mirror though. It's supposedly about a player who ignored instructions after a 45 min individual training session. I'm not lending credence to it but Dalot's absence is so sudden after his run

We are very charitable and it is quite possible that we will be donating another 3 pts today.
This will not be a walk in the park like some are predicting.
I've seen some people think that we'll score 5 goals today, which is insanity.

Cant be otherwise he would have played Donnie every match! :)

We don't know for sure, how Donnie performed in training.
I do find it strange that none of the coaches rated Donnie enough, to recommend that he be in the starting XI.

People acting like Watford aren't going to be quaking in their heels when the famous Man United roll into town

    4-4-2 diamond, perhaps.

Needless to say, this is a must-win - it is our final game before the brutal run of fixtures starts.

4-1-3-2 would be interesting. I’m gutted this is 3pm kick off and we don’t get to watch it, gonna be a good match.

Could be this is it. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense for him to be dropped so suddenly and completely. I mean, Lindelof started in his place.

    Sancho too

its more a case of freshening things up (rather than dropping players) after getting back very late mid week from Madrid. We are historically poor following midweek champions league games.
A good move imo and plenty on the bench if we need them.

    I know

Gutted no Sancho. Maguire, Shaw and Rashford glad to see benched though. AWB back doesn’t fill me with much confidence mind.

I expect another struggle but hopefully get the three points, which are a must.

I agree. He was one of the first played to warm up but didn't come on. Something is amiss for sure. Lindelof didn't cover himself in glory in that match

So are we going to be first half fc or second half fc today ?

Of all of our midfield prospects who didn't work out in the last decade, Cleverley was one of my favorites
